Champions League Preview: Tottenham Hoping for White Hart Lane Magic
Schalke vs. Valencia
The visit to the Veltins-Arena will be something that Valencia will not be looking forward to much, given that they have not fared well in their last visits to any German arena.
However, the match against Schalke gives Unai Emery the perfect opportunity to break that record.
This is after Schalke are really struggling to find any sort of form in the German Bundesliga and they come into the match on the back of a defeat to Stuttgart.
Even though Schalke have been better in the Champions League, their domestic form has been extremely poor.
Valencia, on the other hand, seem to be extremely good at the moment, with the team winning comfortably over its opponents.
The defeat to Barcelona is Valencia's only blemish in the last few matches.
They will be looking to stop Raul from scoring once again and in-between, they will be looking to score an away goal themselves, in order to cancel out the away goal that Schalke have at the moment.
It is also the reason for this match to become a stalemate as Schalke can play out for a draw, but still qualify for the next round. Schalke will be missing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for the match.
Tottenham vs. Milan
Tottenham will be looking to make the most out of their surprise victory over AC Milan at the San Siro to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Tottenham lead the tie, albeit with a single away-goal advantage.
Harry Redknapp will have reason to be worried: Tottenham have slipped up massively in their last two matches since the AC Milan victory.
Having conceded six goals in their last two matches, a repeat of that form will result in nothing; except a thrashing from AC Milan.
AC Milan are likely to be spearheaded by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been in sensational form in the Italian Serie A.
Even though he did not shine in the first leg, the increased space that he will be getting in the second leg will be something that he will be looking to take advantage of.
AC Milan recorded a classy victory over Juventus in their last match and they will be keen to continue that form against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
The return of Gareth Bale would prove to be the inspiration for Spurs, although his participation has not been confirmed.
