2011 NFL Offseason Two-a-Days: The Baltimore Ravens

Ryan FryeMar 7, 2011

5. Is Joe Flacco still on course to be a pro-bowl quarterback?

Yes. I don't think he's as good as Matt Ryan, however I could be considered (very) biased on that topic.

Flacco may not make the pro bowl in 2011, because of all the quarterbacks in the AFC. I do think Flacco will be pro-bowl-worthy in the very near future.

4. Were the Ravens:

(A) a passing team

(B) a running team

(C) a balanced team

D) None of the above

It has to be none of the above, since they never really established an identity last year.

Looking forward to 2011, this is something Baltimore really needs to do if they plan on making a Super Bowl run.

3. What changes need to be made for the Ravens' once imposing defense?

After Sergio Kindle missed the entire 2010 season, the Ravens still need another edge rusher. This would allow them to drop more men into coverage, rather than blitzing so often. I'll give some names in the next question...

2. What is the Ravens top priority in the NFL Draft and/or free agency?

First of all, let's finish off last topic, although Baltimore has more pressing needs. Georgia's Justin Houston would fit into the outside linebacker, edge rusher role well.

On offense, the Ravens need an air-apparent to Derrick Mason. Mason, while still productive, is slowing down at 37. Meanwhile T.J. Houshmanzadeh is a free agent and Donte Stallworth certainly isn't getting any younger. Tandon Doss from Indiana would make sense here.

With Jared Gaither as an impending free agent, the Ravens also may need an offensive tackle. They  could move Oher over to right tackle (where he fits better) and draft a left tackle. Or they could leave Oher at the blindside and draft a right tackle. Or they could leave everything as is.

1. The Ravens were 12-4 in 2010, is their stock rising or falling?

Rising. The Ravens have a good mix of young, emerging stars and crafty veterans. This offseason will be huge as far as bringing in young talent, because that is critical.
