David Haye Is a Delusional Englishman Who Couldn't Beat the Klitschko's Mom

Colin LinneweberMar 4, 2011

Like a gaping clown pocket, WBA world heavyweight champion David “The Hayemaker” Haye said this week he is prepared to fight IBF, IBO and WBO titlist “Dr. Steelhammer” Wladimir Klitschko “in his backyard.”

After months of pretending like he was actually important and possessed leverage in negotiations, Haye (25-1, 23 KOs) claims he wants to battle “Dr. Steelhammer” in Germany on the tentative date of July 2.

Wladimir (55-3, 49 KOs) and his older brother, WBC heavyweight king Vitali (41-2, 38 KOs), enjoy enormous popularity in Germany and have lucrative contracts with TV stations there.

"It does not bother me, Munich, Gelsenkirchen, Berlin, in his backyard. It's all the same to me," said Haye, 30, who won his title from Nikolai Valuev in Nuremberg in 2009. "I'm prepared to go into his territory to get what he has been hanging on to for too long. It doesn't faze me - I've done it before."

In comical fashion, Haye stated he will compromise to ensure the bout materializes.

"They can have their name first on the billing, they can enter the ring before me, they can do anything they want," Haye said. "I don't care as long as we have a referee that can count to ten. All I want to do is fight Wladimir and, if possible, Vitali before I retire."

Haye (25-1, 23 KOs), the former unified cruiserweight champion who relinquished his crowns to emulate the heavyweight accomplishments of Evander Holyfield, last fought in March when he defeated Methuen’s John Ruiz (44-9-1-1, 30 KOs) by a ninth-round TKO.

Haye possesses decent power in both of his fists and he is extremely quick and in superb physical condition.

Hence, “The Hayemaker” hasn’t been trumped since he lost to Carl Thompson (34-6, 25 KOs) by a fifth round TKO at Wembley Arena in October 2004.

Nevertheless, Haye is largely an unproven commodity and he does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as either Klitschko brother.

Haye’s unjustified cockiness is simply hilarious and he is delusional to have contended for even a moment that he warranted an entire split with either legendary Ukrainian.

In reality, despite his excessive trash talking, Haye has avoided the Klitschko's like anthrax and his yammering again validates he is a yellow weasel.

Haye can throw all the nonsensical verbal “Hayemakers” at the Klitschko kin as he desires.

Sadly for the Englishman, David Haye will always be an utter laughingstock until he finally allows his actions to back his words.
