Predictions for UFC 90

Here are my predictions for UFC 90.

Josh "The People's Warrior" Burkman vs. Pete "Drago" Sell

Burkman is a wrestler with a record of 9-6. He finishes his fights by submission or decision. He should be careful on the ground against Sell, though. Sell is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter that trains with Matt Serra.

His record is 7-4. He finishes by submission, but after two pretty much back-to-back KO losses, his chin is questionable. I give this fight to Burkman.

Gray "The Bully" Maynard vs. Rich "No Love" Clementi

Maynard is a wrestler with Xtreme Couture and a record of 5-0-1. He likes to ground-and-pound until his opponent gives up a submission or the ref stops it. But Maynard has to be careful while standing against Clementi.

Clementi is a well-rounded fighter with a record of 32-12-1. He can finish a fight anywhere it goes, so he should be fine. But he shouldn't let Maynard take him down and mount Clementi, or he's in major trouble.

I give this fight to Clementi because of his well roundedness (I have just created a new word).

Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt "Suave" Horwich

Almeida is a BJJ fighter with a record of 9-3. He finishes fights by submissions only and his stand-up is questionable. Horwich is a wrestler with a record of 20-10-1. He favors submitting people, but he has some stand-up skill. He has KO'd opponents before, so he should be fine standing. I give this fight to Horwich by TKO or KO.

Thales Leites vs. Goran Reljic

Leites is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter with a record of 13-1. He has finishes most fights by submission, but he also has two KO victories. He should keep the fight on the feet. Reljic is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter with a record of 8-0. He finishes most fights by submissions too, but his stand-up is limited. He should go for submissions against Leites. I give this fight to Leites.

Sean "The Muscle Shark" Sherk vs. Tyson Griffin

Sherk is a wrestler/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter with a record of 32-3-1. He goes for submissions but, as seen in his fight against B.J. Penn, he has very heavy hands and should go for submissions against Griffin.

Griffin is a wrestler with a record of 12-1. He finish most fights by KO's, and he should go for that with Sherk. I give this fight to Sherk because of his heavy hands and great submission skills.

Thiago "The Pitbull" Alves vs. Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez

Alves is a Muay Thai/BJJ fighter who trains with American Top Team and has a record of 15-3. He is a KO artist, but he should be fine off his back. Sanchez is a Gaidojustu fighter with a record of 19-2. He goes for submission but has a stand-up game. I give this fight to Alves by KO or submission.

In the main event, for the UFC Middleweight Championship: the Middleweight Champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva vs. Patrick "The Predator" Cote

Silva is a Muay Thai/BJJ fighter and has a record of 22-4. He is amazing KO artist in the world today, but he also has extremely deadly submissions. He should be fine anywhere the fight goes.

Cote is a BJJ fighter that trains with Brazilian Top Team Canada with a record of 13-4. He has a deadly submission game, but he's outmatched against Silva on the ground and standing.

I give this fight to Silva by KO.
