It was a morale-boosting victory for Falkirk today, as they lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a fantastic win over high-flyers Hamilton.

Goals from Scott Lovell (44 minutes), Scott Arfield (69 minutes), Burton O'Brien (72 minutes), and a second from Arfield with a penalty on 87 minutes gave the Bairns a great win at the Falkirk Stadium.

Hamilton got a late consolation in the 90th minute, when keeper Robert Olejnik put a cross into his own net.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-1 Kilmarnock

Inverness came from a goal down to win 3-1 at the Caledonian Stadium today.

In-form striker Conor Sammon gave Kilmarnock an early lead, when he netted his third goal in two games with only four minutes gone.

Inverness drew level on 21 minutes through Phil McGuire, and took the lead through a penalty from Andrew Barrowman two minutes before the break.

Kilmarnock went down to 10 men on 77 minutes, when James Fowler was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence. Inverness took advantage and wrapped up the win nine minutes from time, through Ian Black.

Motherwell 2-1 St Mirren

Motherwell picked up a much-needed win today, as they beat St Mirren 2-1 at Fir Park.

It was the away side who took the lead, when Billy Mehmet stunned home fans with his goal on the half-hour mark.

Motherwell equalised through John Sutton on 48 minutes, and won it when Bob Malcolm fired 'Well infront on 62 minutes.

Franco Miranda was sent off for St Mirren on 72 minutes for violent conduct, condemning the Saints to a defeat that will push them to the bottom the SPL table.
