NFL Offseason Two-A-Days: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Writing about every team in the NFL is always interesting. My writing has spanned from "impeccable" to like an " illiterate neanderthal."

Now it is time for my off-season preview of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

5. Is Josh Freeman the most underrated QB in the NFL?

His stats were amazing for a first year starting quarterback, essentially a rookie. He started all sixteen games, threw 25 touchdowns compared to only six interceptions. Over 3,000 yards and a 61 percent completion percentage. 

He led the Bucs to many fourth quarter comebacks, and looked like a veteran quarterback doing so.

Guys like Matt Ryan and Sam Bradford have been great, but Freeman has been just as good. This is coming from a Falcons guy.

4. Who had the better rookie season: LaGarrette Blount or Mike Williams?

Blount and Williams both had very impressive rookie seasons. Of course everybody knows that.

Blount 1,007 yards, had 201 attempts and averaged five yards a carry. Williams was the Bucs' leading receiver with 65 receptions and 964 yards.

Both were great, but I'll go with Blount.

3. Is Ronde Barber still the leader of the Bucs' defense?

The emotional leader? Yes. The Bucs' best defensive player? No.

Barber isn't even the best cornerback on his own team — that honor would go to Aquib Talib. However, he is one of the older players on the team. Barber has been a loyal Buc for his whole career and is a good leader for the young guys.

2. What is Tampa Bay's top priority in the NFL Draft and/or free agency?

The Bucs were tied for the second fewest sacks in 2010, with only 26.

Stylez G. White, (what a name) led the Bucs in sacks with 4.5. He is a free agent and is 31 years old. So defensive end is the biggest need.

Missouri's Aldon Smith would be the ideal pick at 20. Ryan Kerrigan's name is also being thrown around.

1. Stock: Rising or Falling?

Rising. Any need to harp on why?

They have a nice young core. Josh Freeman is one of the NFL's best young quarterbacks. Raheem Morris is an excellent coach.
