Rangers Fall To Tampa Bay -UPDATE-
Despite once again drastically out shooting their opponent, the Rangers lost 3-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning scored two power play goals, one of which by 1st overall pick Steven Stamkos. Stamkos sniped Miika Wiikman from the top of the circle. The Rangers struggled to score against Lightning starting goalie Mike Smith, but they did manage two power play goals. One by Dan Girardi and the other by Freddy Sjostrom who has stepped his game up and is repositioning himself to avoid a trip to Hartford. It looks as though the pair of Wade Redden and Dan Girardi is going to be permanent. Bobby Sanguinetti and Michael Del Zotto both played and held their own against a Lightning team that dressed the majority of its stars.

The Rangers will venture into Newark tonight to play the Devils who surely have not forgotten the abuse the Rangers handed out all season long and into the playoffs last year. Hopefully the Rangers domination of least important team in the Tri-State area continues.
Tonight starting lineup for the Rangers will be:
Dawes-Drury-Prucha
Voros-Dubinsky-Callahan
Rissmiller-Nedved-Fritsche
Dupont-Moore-Wiese
Rozsival-Staal
Pock-Fahey
Mara-Denisov
