NFL's Biggest QB Battles ⚔️

Part 2 of Suckage

Matt ThielSep 25, 2008

So we brought up the question; who's better- Rams, Chiefs, or Mizzou. The offense, without a question, tilts towards Mizzou's favor out of the three. As far as the defense goes?

DLine
The Chiefs should own this. Oh, Jared Allen is in a Vikings uni. Then, the Rams and their FIVE first round picks since '00 as DLiners should kill this (Pickett, Lewis, Kennedy, Carriker, Long). Crap, only two of them are still there. Mizzou's DLine isn't the best in the B12, but their talent isn't far off of the Chiefs and Rams. I'm gay for Tamba Hali for some reason, so it's gotta go. Advantage: Chiefs

Sidebar- Great story about Jimmy Kennedy (and one of Sleezy's favorites that I tell). My first radio job included covering the St. Louis Rams Training Camp, and I ended up doing it for a couple of different stations for a few years. Kennedy signed his ginormous rookie contract after holding out a few days, and didn't have a ride in Macomb (Agent tossed him out like a Prom Night dumpster baby), so after I grabbed a quick interview, JK asked if I could give him a ride to Walmart. I was barely 21, still in college, and wasn't rolling around in Franklin's like I am today (sarcasm). So instead of hopping the Benz I would have later on, he had to ride shotty in my shitty teal '92 Chevy Beretta to Wally World. I had to damn near Crisco him out of that ride. Seriously, I had to help the dude out of the car so he could walk around Walmart for 20mins and find bedding stuff and buy the store out of Capri Suns and Goldfish or whatever. One of my better radio stories...even over interviewing Barack Obama.

Linebackers
Derrick Johnson is highly underrated for the Chiefs. Pisa Tinoisamoa is one of the better LBs when he's not hurt. Too bad the rest of the players around them suck. Mizzou rolls with Sean Weatherspoon, Brock Christopher, and Luke Lambert or Van Alexander. Weatherspoon and Christopher would have a good shot at walking into Earth City or KC tomorrow and strapping up and starting. Advantage: Tigers

Secondary
When you cut your #1 corner, and demote your #2 CB (and '06 #1 draft pick), your seconday is bad. The Chiefs are pretty piss poor themselves. Mizzou's secondary hasn't done anything to shine so far this year, but Will Moore is the best player that any of these three teams could plug in the Secondary. Castine Bridges isn't bad himself. Mizzou's '07 secondary would be better than the Rams or Chiefs, but we are talking '08. Advantage: Push

So do I think '08 Mizzou has the talent to consistently throw a "Boom! Headshot" on the Rams and Chiefs of 2008? Stephen Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson would kill the Tigers, and the OLine would maybe actually hold the Tigers. I would still lean towards the NFL squads, but the fact that it would probably be a 35% chance Mizzou wins just shows how bad the Rams and Chiefs suck.
