WWE: Money in the Bank, the Best Option for Sin Cara's Debut

Luis HerreraFeb 24, 2011

Místico is finally in the WWE, but as we already know, he will have to change his name to “Sin Cara” due to copyright issues.

The Mexican superstar will go directly to the main roster, although it's still not decided to which brand.

Actually, one of the Mexican RAW's announcers posted the following on Twitter: “Sin Cara (ex Mistico) a partir de la proxima semana en TV se lo pelearan RAW Y Smackdown!”

This can be translated as “Sin Cara will be on TV starting next week, RAW and SmackDown will fight for him!”

That could be an interesting angle for Místico's debut, with Teddy Long and the Anonymous RAW General Manager trying to woo him.

However, there is one problem with that kind of storyline. Being only five weeks apart from Wrestlemania XXVII, WWE definitely has to put Sin Cara on the card- not making a telenovela about which roster is he going to join.

Which is the best way to include him in Wrestlemania? The Money in the Bank match.

In terms of in-ring skills, Místico is just amazing. He is as ready as Daniel Bryan was to enter a WWE ring right now and amaze the crowd.

His mic skills, however, are not that great, with the added handicap of his limited English, which will make it difficult to create a heated rivalry in just one month.

That could be solved by giving him a manager, some could say, but then there is another question: who is he going to feud with?

Sin Cara is getting a big hype in his introduction, so he would need a good first feud in the WWE, not just a win against any jobber.

Rey Mysterio and Alberto del Rio are the obvious choices, but both are already busy for Mania. A highflyers match against Evan Bourne could be amazing, but I don’t see how to make it a strong storyline.

The Money in the Bank match (assuming there will be one, of course) makes perfect sense for the Mexican wrestler.

He would have enough time and enough rivals to show his abilities, and at the same time he wouldn’t need to come out on top to look strong.

The only negative point about putting Místico in MiTB is that he is not used to ladder matches, as the CMLL is one of the most conservative promotions in the world- so he was never involved in any kind of extreme rules matches.

However, that shouldn’t be a problem for the WWE’s newest acquisition. You can always count with Kane or Mark Henry to catch the highflyers and Kofi Kingston or Drew McIntyre to take the biggest bumps.

After a strong display in MiTB, Sin Cara could then start a feud with Mysterio or any other superstar who fits his style.
