Joe's Stunner of the Week: Alabama Over Georgia
Some people may say that this may not be a stunner pick. Well, I beg to differ.
Pretty much every so-called expert, with the exception of a few, had said that this is the game where Alabama will show vulnerability. They say Georgia will run over them and it will not be close in some experts' eyes.
That is the reason I had to pick Alabama to beat Georgia this week.
Now Georgia does have a good running game. Knowshon Moreno is a legitimate Heisman candidate, and he has been tearing it up on the ground lately, jumping over people and whatnot. I mean, is that all he can do?
Anyway, Stafford looks good as well, but the big matchup will be the two wide receivers for Alabama and Georgia. The two dynamic freshman I believe will make an impact, but in the end I think Julio Jones will get the better numbers of the two.
Also a good thing to watch is how both the D-line and O-line of Alabama react to Georgia. Alabama's O-line, I believe, is the best in the country. I mean, did you did see the game last week? They ran behind that big O-line for over 300 yards rushing.
Although the passing game wasn't effective last week, it didn't need to be because of the running game. All four of Bama's running backs torched Arkansas last week, so the passing game was not really needed. But I believe it needs to be to beat Georgia. At least we know John Parker Wilson will have time to throw it.
If the No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide beat the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs, I believe that Alabama will be in serious National Championship talks—not just SEC Championship talks, because a lot of people think they can get that far. They have never been the team to finish games. They would start off hot and end in defeat.
Ever since Nick Saban has been there, the team has been getting better and better at closing out games. They almost beat Georgia last year. If it were not for the last pass of the game going straight into the hands of the receiver, we might be seeing Alabama at No. 3 right now.
The momentum of that win would have carried them into a lot of victories, but when they lost last year it was like they needed heart surgery, because it seemed like they just gave up.
This year that will not happen, and history will change.

What do you think: Can the Tide roll over Georgia, or will it be another blow to the Crimson faithful?
