NFL Week 4 Predictions

Armin HusakovicSep 25, 2008

After this week, we will be at one quarter of the season, and it seems like some teams are still stuck back in training camps. Cleveland, 10 win team from last year is winless, and it seems like trouble at QB is shaping up, Jacksonville, Minnesota, San Diego and Chicago are looking to get back to .500, and Cowboys, Giants and looking to extend their winning streak and continue their domination as premier teams, not only in NFC, but in the entire NFL. By my count, 7 out of 13 games this week are division games, and it looks to be another great week in NFL. It's my first article so no bashing please, so here we go:

Atlanta at Carolina-(Ryan kid seems to be doing good with this young, rebuilding Falcons team. If he keeps winning, ATL-ians will soon forget about all of Mike Vick's trouble. However, Panthers seem to be have their swagger back, and they will be too much for Matt Ryan and co....Carolina 24-ATL-13)

Cleveland at Cincinnati-(Battle of the winless teams, who will come on top. I don't really know what to tell you about these two teams. Both teams seem to have fire power to be good teams, I mean wasn't Palmer suppose to be one the better QBs in the league and Ocho Cinco, Chad Johnson or Balls McNutts, or whatever he calls himself these days, isn't he suppose to be top 5 WR in the league, and somehow year in and year out, Jail Stripes keep underachieving. On the other hand, after a great season, by Cleveland standards, Cleveland seems to be in trouble. Will we see the beginning of Quin Brady era after this week. Cleveland 28- Cincinnati 24)

Houston at Jacksonville-(Another division match up. After a big win at Indy last week, Jacks are looking to get back to .500 playing their style of ball, run, run, run and run some more. Houston, we have a problem. Matt Schaub is not earning his big contract money. Jacksonville, behind Jones-Drew and Taylor, runs for another 250 yards, too much for Mario Williams and them. Jacksonville 24- Houston 13)

Denver at Kansas City-(Did anyone see this coming, I sure didn’t. Denver’s high scoring offense has been great and Jay Cutler looks to be a real deal, along with Marshall, these two have brought that feeling back in Mile High city. Kansas is in for another miserable season. There isn't one person out there who doesn't like Herman, but how long will he stay in Kansas is the question. Denver 35-Kansas City-10)

San Francisco at New Orleans-(Shockey is out, their second best player on offense. Good news, they are playing San Francisco. Yes they are 2-1 and very young, but I pick NO to win. New Orleans 24-San Francisco 13)

Arizona at New York Jets-(Warner had a chance to rally his team for a comeback against the Skins but came up close. In my opinion his combo of WR are the best in the league, and should be a better season for the Cardinals. On the other hand, after a Monday night disaster, Favre apologist have been heard throughout the week," hasn't had a chance to learn the offense, this and that".I mean it's been over 6 weeks now, right? Bottom line, Favre should have stayed retired another few weeks and right now he'd probably be playing in New England. Arizona 31-New York Jets 24)

Green Bay at Tampa Bay-(Battle of the Bays. Life without Favre has been great so far for the cheese heads. This is Rogers's team now and i think he will have a great career. They are very young. Tampa Bay went to Chicago last week and behind Grease, who by the way threw 60+ passes, and won. Don't see the Pack losing two in a row. Packers 34-Bucks 24)

Minnesota at Tennessee-(Battle of two of the best defenses in the league. Switch at QB seem to have re energized Minnesota. Behind AP or AD, whatever he'll call himself this week, i think Vikings should win. Tennessee finally will get back down on earth. Great defense but no offense. Collins is not the answer, but he'll do until Young gets healthy, or decides to get out of the depression mode, whichever comes first. Minnesota 17- Tennessee 13)

San Diago at Oakland-(What can be said about Oakland, they seem to have come behind Lane Kiffin and faught hard last week, but came up short. I say Oakland's penalty yards will be higher then yards JaMarcus Russell throws. Ligtning bolts are hurting. Out is  Merriman, LT is not healthy, but should be an easy victory. San Diago 34-Oakland 6)

Buffalo at St. Louis-(Buffalo is playing great. In my opinion, best and most consistent team in the AFC. St. Louis made a change at QB, but it won't matter. Buffalo 28-St. Louis 13)

Washington at Dallas-(Game of the week in my opinion. These two always give us great divisional match ups. Dallas, after 3 weeks seem to have answered all questions about who is the best team in the league, but can they win a playoff game. Jason Campbell is playing great and has not thrown interception all season. Dallas has too much fire power, which Skins cannot match. Dallas 24-Skins 16)

Philadelphia at Chicago-(McNabb and co are playing great. One mistake cost them that Monday night game few weeks back. They will be too much for Chicago's defense. Philadelphia 24- Chicago 20)

Monday Night Game:

Baltimore at Pittsburgh-(Another great divisional matchup. Ben R. is looking to rebound after a bad game against the Eagles. Not a good game to rebound against. After getting sacked 198 times, here comes B-more and Ray Ray. Pittsburgh 13-B-More 16)
