NFL Rumors: Larry Fitzgerald Wants Eagles' Kolb
When speaking about his future with the Arizona Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald has made it clear he wants to stay with the team, but he also wants to be in a situation where he can win.
The Cardinals, realizing that there is a very real possibility that Fitzgerald could sign elsewhere after his contract expires at the end of this season, are trying to do everything in their power to convince Fitzgerald to stay in Arizona long term.
Apparently, they have even made it a point to approach Fitzgerald about the current quarterback situation.

Larry's answer?
Go get Kevin Kolb.
And so the Cardinals are left with a bit of a dilemma. Kolb is very much on the trading block, but for what price?
Those close to the Eagles have said all along that the team would require a first-round pick in any deal for Kolb. To make matters more complicated, the current CBA is set to expire on Mar. 4, and a new deal does not sound imminent. There can be no player movement without a CBA in place.
The Cardinals must decide if Kolb is worth a first-round pick, assuming that a deal could eventually be reached. They also need to decide whether it is a good idea to let one of their players have a say in how the team is run.
At first glance, you say "of course". The team must do everything in its power to keep one of the most important players in franchise history.
But upon further review, is it really worth compromising your organization and losing a first-round pick to acquire someone with only seven career starts and more interceptions than touchdowns to his name?
At some point, you must draw a line between player and front office.
