New England Patriots: Devin McCourty Finished Season With Fractured Rib
New England Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty played through the final few weeks of the season with a fractured rib.
According to NESN.com, McCourty suffered the injury in the team's Week 14 victory over the Chicago Bears. McCourty told reporters that it happened in the second quarter when he forced a fumble from receiver Johnny Knox.
There was no word of the injury after the game, and the news has come to light just now.

McCourty only missed one practice the following the week, but nothing was made of it.
Earlier this week, McCourty made an appearance on the Hall at Patriots' Place and explained how he played through the injury and was determined to exceed expectations.
"I think about where I was and, I guess, how many people said I couldn't do this and couldn't do that," McCourty said.
"To exceed expectations, go out and not worry about anything except for playing football, it's been a great ride this first season."
The injury will require rest but should be fine for the team's mini-camps in the next few months.
