Albert Haynesworth Keeping the Police Busy
The Washington Post reported today that Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth has been accused of sexual assault of a waitress at the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. This incident would be the second allegation of criminal misconduct against Haynesworth in less than two weeks.
The alleged incident supposedly occurred when Haynesworth was trying to pay his bill. The waitress told Haynesworth her hands were full, so Haynesworth being the gentleman he is, kindly asked the waitress if he could slip his credit card in the pocket of her blouse. According the complaint, the waitress nodded and Haynesworth put his card in her blouse and managed to caress her breast while he was at it. Yes, you read that right.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We often hear of incidents involving athletes, and sometimes you are unsure of what to believe, but when it comes to Haynesworth, nothing would surprise anyone. In the first alleged incident on February 2nd, Haynesworth, apparently feeling some road-rage, decided to punch a man in his face. Everyone, at some point or another, gets irritated while driving. But the normal person doesn't decide to pull over and assault another human being. Keep in mind Haynesworth is 6'6", 350 lbs.
So two incidents in two weeks can be written off as a guy having a rough time, right? Well, when you look at the history of Haynesworth there is clearly more going on with this man than just his enormous sense of entitlement. Haynesworth first became known when he stomped on the head of Cowboys center Andre Gurode.
Let’s not forget the time in Tennessee where Haynesworth, thinking he was Ricky Bobby, was speeding down a highway in his Ferrari at speeds over 100 MPH collided with a man partially paralyzing him. That case is still in civil litigation.
There are other instances and just not enough time to get into them in this space. Trouble always follows Haynesworth. Whether it is the aforementioned issues off of the field, or the drama on the field, Haynesworth became a one-man sideshow in Mike Shanahan’s first year as Redskins coach. He has managed to make oft-criticized Redskins owner Daniel Snyder a sympathetic figure in league circles.
So what do you do with this guy if you are the Redskins and the NFL? If Ben Roethlisberger was suspended for four games with just allegations, one would think Haynesworth would get more than that, especially if one of these charges sticks.
Here is a solution: Suspend him indefinitely, without pay. If the Washington Redskins cannot recoup some of their money from this guy, that is a travesty. Sure, they shouldn’t have paid him that money to begin with, but they, nor anyone else, deserve to be paying money to such a worthless human being. His job as a football player is to perform on the field, never mind the fact that he doesn’t, or hasn’t done that.
The problem with the Redskins cutting him and the league suspending him is that another team will give him a chance. This is a case where league owners should band together and realize that playing in the NFL is a privilege and this man has repeatedly scoffed at that privilege.
Hey owners, here is a thought: Seriously enforce player conduct clauses in future contracts. If player conduct clauses are repeatedly broken, then this type of behavior will send these ungrateful human beings out of the league, hopefully forever.
