LeBron James Video: Yo Momma Jokes Are No Laughing Matter For King James
LeBron James Video Vintage "New" King?
LeBron James video shows a son defending his mother's honor? Or is it just the King being a diva? What do you think?
As ESPN.com’s Michael Wallace reported on Friday, James didn’t care for a heckler during his team’s showdown against the Detroit Pistons.
"I don't care what you say to me. I don't give a [expletive] what you say," James told the spectator. "But don't be disrespectful."
According to Wallace, the comment came after the fan mentioned James’ mother, Gloria.
When James asked the heckler to repeat what he said, the fan reportedly said
“I said, 'Is your mom going to Boston for Valentine's Day?'”
James was not pleased with the comment itself: his mother has been media and fan fodder in the past. But also because his two children, LeBron Jr, (age six) and Bryce (age three) where seated nearby.
"I felt I needed to say something,” he said after the game. “As I said before, you have to draw the line somewhere. Fans can say whatever they want to say. But there are times when it's not right. I had to say something."
As angry as James obviously was at the moment, at least he left the Palace at Auburn Hills with another victory.
The Heat dominated Detroit, taking a 64-43 lead into halftime and ultimately gaining a 106-92 win.
James finished with 16 points on seven of 17 shooting, but he also dished out 10 assists. That helped five of his teammates finish with double digit points as the Heat won their eighth straight game.
Two days after their win in Detroit, the Heat squared off with the Celtics in Boston. James tossed in 22 points, but Miami lost 85-82.
