Bolton vs. Everton

Everton finally brought an end to the consecutive draws that they encountered with a fine victory over Blackpool. Even though it was a victory, they once again conceded a lot of goals and Owen Coyle will be sensing that there is a chink in the armor.

Bolton Wanderers have played extremely poor away from home, as demonstrated by yet another defeat to Tottenham last weekend. The fact that they lost to an injury time goal once again meant that their inconsistency to keep clean sheets away from home, cropped up. Owen Coyle will certainly be relieved to get back to the Reebok Stadium, where they have a decent form.

Everton, though, seems to have kick-started their season against Blackpool after thrashing the opponents in the last few minutes of the match. Louis Saha was the star of the show, but he will be missing for David Moyes. Owen Coyle will have been extremely happy with his striking department as Daniel Sturridge, who has scored two goals in as many matches.

Fulham vs. Chelsea (Monday, Feb. 14)

Chelsea looked to have got things back on track after scoring loads of goals in the last few weeks. However, the defeat to Liverpool has once again put things back in the doldrums for Carlo Ancelotti. It was a match that finally confirmed the end of their title challenge and by Ancelotti this week.

Fernando Torres had a disappointing debut against Liverpool, but he should certainly be given some time to understand his new team-mates, especially given that he is coming into the team in the middle of the season.

Fulham has not usually done well at Aston Villa over the years, but the way in which they fought back twice going down to Aston Villa is evidence to the fact that their troubles seem to be over. Andy Johnson has been a key to their resurgence and he will be starting for Fulham once again.

The big thing that remains to be seen will be the formation that Chelsea adopts. Will they revert to the 4-3-3 or the diamond, which failed badly against Liverpool, but was highly effective against Sunderland? Ancelotti has confirmed that David Luiz will be starting his first match for Chelsea against Fulham.
