Cody Zeller (Indiana) -Washignton HS (Washington, IN)
While the selections were mostly correct and justified, there were a few players that definitely got snubbed. Here are some players who should have got more consideration and were worthy of selection, despite not being chosen.
Biggest Snubs:
-Quincy Miller (Baylor)* -Westchester Country Day School (High Point, NC)
-Tony Wroten Jr. (Washington) –Garfield HS (Renton, WA)
-Josiah Turner (Arizona) –Sacramento HS (Sacramento, CA)
-Jabari Brown (Oregon) –Oakland HS (Oakland, CA)
-Nick Johnson (Arizona) –Findlay Prep (Henderson, NV)
-Jahii Carson (Arizona State) – Mesa HS (Gilbert, AZ)
*Due to injury
Note that the majority of the snubs are players from the West Coast and are Pac-10 conference commits. Definitely doesn’t help the "East Coast Bias" theory, as all but one player are truly from the west coast. The rest of the selections on the West roster are from the Midwest or the South. Perhaps the biggest hit will be for the dunk contest, which will be without the talents of highflyer Nick Johnson. Nonetheless, it should be a good game to watch. It’s a great chance to see future stars before next years NCAA basketball or the 2012 NBA Draft.
