2011 NFL Trade Rumors: Will Disgruntled Stars End Up Staying Put or Leaving?
There are a lot of trade rumors that have started floating around now that the season has ended. The trade rumors are just that at this point.
Until a new CBA is in place, there will be no trades, no free agent signings and the only way these teams can add players is through the draft.
Once there is a new CBA, the trades will start flowing fast and free, make no mistake about that.
Let's take a look at some rumored trades and see who is staying put and who will find a new home.
Carson Palmer

Carson Palmer isn't happy in Cincinnati. That's not an issue in dispute.
What is in dispute is just how serious he is in his trade demands. Palmer said if he wasn't traded, he'd retire because of the situation in Cincinnati.
The Bengals have fired the offensive coordinator and brought in Jay Gruden. With the draft coming, my hunch is the Bengals will keep Palmer, and he will be on the field for the Bengals in 2011.
Chad Ochocinco

Staying in Cincinnati, Chad Ochocinco isn't happy either. But he's older, only has one more year left in his contract and his absence actually helped improve the Bengals' offensive numbers.
Ochocinco will be wearing new colors next year, bank on it.
Albert Haynesworth

Albert Haynesworth has done everything except cut off his own leg to avoid playing for Mike Shanahan.
However, his actions and attitude this year were so counterproductive, the Redskins may not have any option but to bring him back in 2011 and give it another go.
My hunch is there is no trade market, especially given the value of Haynesworth's contract at this point. But if the Redskins can convince him to come out and play hard to drum up his trade value, that changes everything.
Haynesworth isn't the smartest guy on the block, and if he starts showing up again in an effort to get out of town, the Redskins may just end up keeping him.
Shaun Rogers
4 of 13
Shaun Rogers had a bad year, played injured and probably is carrying 30 extra pounds.
The Browns are switching back to a 4-3 defense. Rogers can play in that defense, but since there's bound to be a lot of personnel changes, the Browns may try and move him for someone younger and faster.
Kyle Orton
5 of 13
Hope Denver fans enjoyed seeing Tim Tebow start because Kyle Orton is going to resume those duties in 2011.
With John Fox in place and no loyalty to the Josh McDaniels project, Orton will stay in Denver and be the starter.
Tebow still may get his chance, but he'll be the backup when the season begins.
Frank Gore
6 of 13
Frank Gore is coming off of a hip injury and the 49ers now have a new head coach. Gore may be seen as part of the past and not have a new role in the 49ers organization.
But I think cooler heads will prevail, Jim Harbaugh will find a place for Gore and he'll stay in San Francisco for 2011.
Steve Smith
7 of 13
Steve Smith is the definition of disgruntled. He'll be on his way out of Carolina as soon as a new CBA is signed.
The Panthers appear to have brought some new offensive coaches in with the intention of giving Smith reasons to want to stay, but Smith isn't getting any younger, and this team now is years away from competing for a Super Bowl again.
I can see Smith being traded to the Browns, who need a receiver badly.
Greg Olson
8 of 13
Greg Olson was not happy with his role in the Bears offense in 2010, according to a report from ESPN.
Olson could become part of a trade if the Bears think they can get anything from him, and Olson is hoping he gets a new chance to play the way he wants to on a new team.
Chad Henne
9 of 13
Chad Henne wasn't what the Dolphins wanted him to be, so he'll probably be going elsewhere next year.
He still is on the roster and may be kept as a backup, but that just doesn't seem likely.
Henne still has a career as a backup in the NFL, but it'll have to be somewhere else.
Vince Young
10 of 13
Vince Young and Jeff Fisher had a falling out that became irrepairable. But now Fisher is gone.
Does that mean Vince Young stays?
Yes. Despite Bud Adams saying Young is going on the trading block, they'll have a hard time getting what they want out of trade considering Young's emotional instability and willingness to quit on a team.
Even if there are some overtures to trade Young, nothing will come from the deal and Young will be in a Titans uniform in 2011.
Tarvaris Jackson
11 of 13
Tarvaris Jackson is out in Minnesota. There's little reason to think he'll still be on the roster in 2011 and most stories coming out of the Vikings front office don't have his name mentioned in the quarterback race.
Considering they begged Brett Favre to come back last season, there's no reason to think the new regime all of a sudden thinks Jackson is the answer.
Donovan McNabb
12 of 13
Donovan McNabb is further proof Redskins owner Dan Snyder is an idiot, but that's a different argument.
The Redskins have been trying to downplay trade rumors, but the fact is Mike Shanahan realized he made a mistake about six weeks into the season and now is trying to deal with the fallout.
McNabb will be traded to the Vikings. A deal to the Vikings has been speculated on for some time now and the reason it stays in the rumor news is because it makes sense for both teams.
Kevin Kolb
13 of 13
Kevin Kolb is far too valuable a trade commodity at this point to stay on the Eagles roster.
The Eagles love having a quality backup like Kolb, and the price to keep him is a steal. Plus, Michael Vick's playing style lends itself to injury.
That being said, if you can get a first- and third-round pick for the guy, you have to make that deal.
