NBA: Super Bowl Sunday's Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts
The Super Bowl wasn't the only sports action going happening Sunday. Those of you in fantasy basketball leagues want to know which unheralded fantasy hoops playoffs had big games before the big game kicked off. Here's a look at those players.
Randy Foye, Guard, Los Angeles Clippers
Foye scored 15 points (5-16 FG, 3-4 FT, 2-8 3PM) with five rebounds, three assists, and a steal. He is averaging 15.6 points and 4.2 assists in his past five games. He continues to play well filling in for Eric Gordon, and should be owned in virtually all fantasy leagues.
Eddie House, Guard, Miami Heat
House scored 15 points (6-11 FG, 3-7 3PM) with four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade are all healthy, and Eddie has still been effective. He has been in double-figures in nine of the past eleven games, and is averaging 13.3 points and 2.8 three-pointers in his past four games. House does not offer much help in other categories, but can be a decent plug-in player for those categories, as well as a bench option in deeper leagues.
Dahntay Jones, Guard/Forward & Paul George, Forward, Indiana Pacers
Jones scored 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 FT) with four rebounds, an assist, and a steal. He has not done enough on the year to inspire confidence. Look elsewhere. Meanwhile, George added 14 points (5-12 FG, 4-5 FT) with six rebounds, an assist, and two steals. He’s averaging 12.3 points in his past four games and 12.4 in his past eight games.
