Gary Lineker Praises Tottenham Hotspur FC in UEFA Champions League
Gary Lineker has praised the Tottenham Hotspur FC as a "breath of fresh air" during an appearance in the UEFA Champions League offices.
He went on to state that the Spurs have been "free flowing, attack minded and adventurous" with their style of football.
Lineker went on to give credit to the two wingers playing for the Spurs.
The Spurs are currently preparing for their next game in the UEFA Champions League against AC Milan on February 15, 2011.
The match is expected to be held in the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan, Italy. The Spurs have defeated the other Milan team FC Internazionale Milano (which was the reigning champion) last November to advance in the Group A UEFA Champions League.
The last time the Tottenham Hotspur FC participated in the UEFA Champions League was in 1962. According to Lineker, that reality has stimulated a desire to perform better in this competition.
I have been following the UEFA Champions League, including the Spurs. While they lost to the Young Boys in their maiden match, they have been able to pick themselves up and continue.
The Spurs have not conceded any games and only had two draws—against SV Werder Bremen (September 14, 2010) and FC Twente (December 7, 2010).
If the Spurs are able to defeat AC Milan, they will be going places in the UEFA Champions League.
