Refs beat Raiders, 24-23, Kiffin....don't report to Oakland.

Raider Card AddictSep 21, 2008

Frustration, is one way to say, today's game was horrible.

But this one went over the top.

First of all, since when does stepping out of bounds, and not crossing the end zone with a football count as a touchdown?

Apparently, the Refs who did Buffalo's game, in Buffalo, felt this was grounds for a touchdown.

Early in the game after Russell fumbled away a ball, Marshawn Lynch took a ball, went along the sideline, and stepped out of bounce. Instead of being marked out at the 5, he was allowed to continue up the sidelines, and then was shoved out before reaching the 3. Somehow, the line judge, who might have been digging for gold in his ear, missed both calls.

But that wasn't the real turning point of the game.

Later on, with the Raiders leading, the Bills drove down and scored on a running play, again by Marshawn Lynch. Aside from the play, a Bills player who had been holding Gibril Wilson, kept tugging at Wilson. Wilson, tired of the guy pulling on his jersey, decided to push off against this Bills player, with the last name of Reed.

What happened? They threw Wilson out of the game, but left Reed in.

After this play, the Raiders defense was without it's primary safety. Again, thanks to the refs, the Raiders defense, already tired, were now missing a key cog.

And then the Bills proceeded to hang 10 points on the Raiders, to steal the game.

Thanks zebras. Two straight weeks, two losses.

Now, don't get me wrong. The Raiders were supposed to be blown out, according to Mike Silver. This didn't happen. It still counts as a loss, thanks to the refs.

But what truly ticks me off, is Lane Kiffin.

First of all, he decided not to challenge Lynch's tightrope walk on the sidelines. Maybe he felt the refs were already biased, and wouldn't be able to overturn it.

Maybe, he also felt that if the team loses, he'll be fired, and finally get out of Oakland.

if Kiffin intentionally dragged his feet in this game....like not using timeouts, or poor call selection....Then Get Out, Kiffin. If you're wanting this team to lose, just to make sure you are fired....then you are already worthless to us as a coach....and worse than Randy Moss.

We had this game. The zebras beat us, not the Bills.
