NFL: New England Patriots' Tom Brady Unanimous 2010 MVP Selection
Sunday prior to the Super Bowl, the Associated Press announced New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had won the Most Valuable Player Award.
Brady, who had a spectacular season, received all 50 possible votes.
This is the second time in his career Brady has been honored with the award, and his season this year was just as impressive as his record-breaking 2007 campaign.

He finished the year with 36 touchdowns, 3,900 passing yards and a career-low four interceptions. He also broke the NFL record for consecutive pass attempts without an interception, with 335.
"It is always flattering to be chosen for such a prestigious award," Brady said. "But I also look at it as a team award, as nothing in football gets accomplished without the mental toughness and determination of every player and coach associated with that team."
As Brady said, he sees the MVP as, "a team award," and sure enough he received a lot of support from his teammates this year.
When star receiver Randy Moss was dealt away mid-season, it appeared the Patriots' offensive output would decline. However, New England had other thoughts, bringing back former Pats receiver Deion Branch.
Branch, along with Wes Welker and rookie tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, made one talented, reliable receiving corps for Brady.
"When the season is over, 31 teams are disappointed about the outcome," he said. "There is only one champion, and nobody plays this game for second place. The desire and hunger is about winning, which to me never gets old. The motivation to get up and work every day for that goal is something that challenges us all."
The "desire and hunger" were there for Brady and the Patriots this season, but they fell short of their goal, which was a Super Bowl victory. Still, there were a lot of great signs coming from this young team that possesses a lot of talent.
With Brady leading the up-and-coming New England roster, the Patriots will have a great chance of reaching their goal next season.
