UFC 126: Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort Live Weigh-In Results Blog

The UFC 126 live weigh-ins are about to begin as we prepare for the event tomorrow night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. 

The main event for this much anticipated event features UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva defending his title against perhaps the toughest competition of his career, the always entertaining Vitor Belfort.

The combatants had an intense stare-down at the live press conference earlier this week and it will be interesting to see how each man looks as they step on the scale.

After a preview for the event, Mike Goldberg welcomed us to the Live UFC 126 Weigh-Ins at 5:00pm CST.

We then went to Joe Rogan, who welcomed the lucky fans who were live in attendance and introduced Dana White, Bruce Buffer, the UFC Ring Girls and a host of other UFC representatives onto the stage.

The first weigh-in was Kenny Robertson, who will be facing Mike Pierce in a welterweight fight.

Kenny Robertson: 170-pounds
Mike Pierce: 172-pounds

Pierce is the first man to weigh in overweight tonight, and the towel comes out. Still at 172 pounds without his shorts, Mike Pierce must lose one pound, according to Joe Rogan. 

The two men face off in front of Dana White. 

Next up is a light heavyweight bout between Ricardo Romero and Kyle Kingsbury.

Ricardo Romero: 205 pounds
Kyle Kingsbury: 205 pounds

Kingsbury rocked TWO fanny packs to the weigh-ins along with a ridiculous headband, but the fans seemed to love it. 

Gabe Reudiger and Paul Taylor were next in the lightweight division.

Gabe Reudiger: 155 pounds
Paul Taylor: 156 pounds

Reudiger had a problem making weight on The Ultimate Fighter, so it was good to see him make weight easily here.

Demetrious Johnson and Kid Yamamoto are next for their fight that will be streamed live on Facebook.

Demetrious Johnson: 136 pounds
Kid Yamamoto: 135 pounds

The fans cheered loud for Yamamoto as Rogan announced his name, but how could he have known? He was wearing giant headphones, rocking a crazy red mohawk. 

Chad Mendes and Michihiro Omigawa were next.

Michihiro Omigawa: 146 pounds
Chad Mendes: 146 pounds

This fight will happen live on Spike TV.

Next up, also on Spike TV is the lightweight bout between Paul Kelly and Donald Ceronne.

Paul Kelly: 155 pounds
Donald Ceronne: 155 pounds

Dana's looking a bit fruity with that rainbow "Dickhouse" t-shirt.

Antonio Banuelos and Miguel Torres are next.

Antonio Banuelos: 136 pounds
Miguel Torres: 136 pounds

Torres is a giant next to Banuelos. Wow.

The next weigh-in is for the welterweight contest between Carlos Eduardo Rocha and Jake Ellenberger.

Carlos Eduardo Rocha: 170 pounds
Jake Ellenberger: 171 pounds

Rocha definitely stood out as he and his corner were all wearing bright, neon green sponsored t-shirts.

The huge fight between Ryan Bader and Jon Jones is next.

Ryan Bader: 205 pounds
Jon "Bones" Jones: 206 pounds 

The biggest light heavyweight contender matchup in a long time had one final stare-down before the show. I can't wait for this one!

Two of the UFC's most popular fighters stepped on the scale next as Rich Franklin and Forrest Griffin prepared for their light heavyweight bout.

Rich Franklin: 203 pounds
Forrest Griffin: 205 pounds

Franklin had no problem making 205 pounds, weighing in two pounds under the limit. He must still be trying to get his weight up from his previous 185 pound weight.

Before the main event, we get to see one more promotional video for the battle between the challenger Vitor Belfort and champion Anderson Silva. It's hard not to be impressed by the highlight reels of both these men. 

"The biggest title fight in the history of the middleweight division," according to Joe Rogan.

Belfort is first on the scale. He appears very confident and weighs in:

Vitor Belfort: 185 pounds

The champion walks to the podium wearing a track suit, looking like an NBA player, with a backward baseball cap.

Anderson Silva: 185 pounds

The pound-for-pound king, Silva, then threw on a "Jabbawockeez" mask as he and Belfort got face-to-face, trash talking up close. The two men eventually needed to be pulled away from one another.

Rogan asked why Belfort what Anderson told him. 

"I told him he wears a mask," Belfort said. "But he's a good man, he has a good heart. I will be ready for tomorrow."

Anderson Silva responded, "There's no secret what I said. You guys came here to watch a show. Vitor talks a lot. You're going to get a show."

Rogan quickly plugged his comedy show tonight at the Mandalay Bay Events Center before we signed off. 

The intensity between Belfort and Silva could easily be seen and the anticipation for this amazing card continues to grow!
