Fear The Night: Week Four College Football Predictions

Just a quick few notes on Week Four of this wonderful—if a little less of a rollercoaster ride—of a college season.

LSU vs. Auburn

Expect more blood on the street than around Wall Street in the first few days of this game. Both sides have had incredibly close encounters over the years. LSU hasn't forgiven Auburn for the chop block that could have ended Glenn Dorsey's career. Auburn hasn't forgiven LSU for beating it in the last second of one of the most exciting games college football has ever seen. Get ready for Saturday night fireworks.

Auburn 28, LSU 26

Georgia vs. Arizona State

The last time Arizona State had an SEC side visiting, it self-destructed in one of the best games of the year against LSU (2005). Coming off a 23-20 loss at home to UNLV, it'll be hoping its head is in the right shape to take on a Georgia team that was pretty dreadful during its 14-7 win over a hapless South Carolina side.

Georgia 38, Arizona State 28

Florida vs. Tennessee

If Tennessee beats Florida, then the win may well change the BCS landscape in the case of the "who's playing USC in the National Title Game" stakes. Likelihood? Anything can happen, dude—it's the SEC!

Tennessee 21, Florida 17

Temple vs. Penn State

Penn State to win by 40. There you go.

Alabama vs. Arkansas

With Nick Saban in charge and a very pretty win over Clemson in the bag, the world's back to caring about 'Bama bangs and 'Bama football. With Darren McFadden and Felix Jones gone, people are starting to forget about Razorbacks football.

Alabama 31, Arkansas 15

Notre Dame vs. Michigan State

Michigan State by 10. Just because they are at home.

Iowa vs. Pittsburgh

One more loss, and you get the feeling that Dave Wannstedt will be packing his bags before the season ends. Watch out for LeSean McCoy, though. He's pretty darned good.
