TNA: The Big Questions Heading Into This Week's Huge Impact Broadcast
TNA has been hyping up this event more than their upcoming PPV Against All Odds. Heading into this HUGE iMPACT! broadcast, I am excited and hope to have several questions answered.
The matches announced are a three way X-Division match, where the winner goes into Against All Odds to fight three other men for the X-Division title. The other known match is a TNA World title match between former champ, now challenger, Jeff Hardy and TNA World Champion Mr. Anderson.........ANDERSON!
Here are some questions I expect to be answered come this Thursday.
Who Will Qualify for Against All Odds X-Division Title Match?
1 of 6
There is two weeks until Against All Odds. That means two more X-Division triple threat matches to see who will make it to Against All Odds.
My question is, who will qualify? I'm pretty sure Jay Lethal will make it either this week or next week. But who else? Will Robbie E. fist pump his way back into the X-Division title hunt? Will Brian Kendrick get his time to shine? Or is it all about "Me"? Jeremy Buck helped his brother qualify. The question is, will Max return the favor?
TNA really loved El Generico and TJ Perkins try-out matches. Will we see either of them in time for February 3rd? Or Against All Odds?
What's Next for the Knockout Division?
2 of 6
Expect Madison Rayne to have her hands full from now until Against All Odds. I expect Mickie James to challenge her for the Knockout title at Against All Odds.
Also in the division, Winter and Velvet Sky started to fight; who will Angelina Love choose? Her tag team partner Winter or BFF Velvet Sky?
Will Mickie challenge Rayne in a Genesis rematch? Will the loaded glove come into play?
Will Hogan and Dixie Be in the IMPACT Zone?
3 of 6
Eric Bischoff said that Hulk Hogan is going to return this Thursday! Dixie Carter said via telephone that she will also be in the iMPACT! Zone!
Who is going to gain all the power in TNA? Bischoff said he had a plan to restore power for Immortal. What will it be?
Will Dixie bring back-up? Is she behind "THEY"? Will these two start the road to Lockdown? Team Dixie vs. Team Hogan?
Whatever happens after February 3rd, expect a fight between these two.
What's Next for the TV Title?
4 of 6
Tazz and Mike Tenay gave us an update on the current TNA TV Champion "The Monster" Abyss, and it didn't soound good. Expect Abyss to miss this Thursday and possibly Against All Odds.
Will Abyss be stripped of the TV title? If so, will there be a tournament? Or Against All Odds battle royal for the title? I like the sound of the last one.
Who can fight for the TV title? Former champion Douglas Williams? Or his former British Invasion partners, Magnus and/or Rob Terry?
Who Will Win? Hardy or Anderson?
5 of 6
I want to say Mr. Anderson will win this, but you never know. I have doubts about Anderson retaining because he still has Jeff's World title.
After Genesis, I expected Anderson to throw Hardys title in the trash and resurrect the former TNA World title. The fact that Anderson still carries Jeff's title worries me. It makes me think that Anderson won't have such a long reign with it.
The odds are in Hardy's corner as well. Jeff has Immortal watching his back. With all the Immortal attacks in the past, it's inevitable that Immortal will get involved in this match somehow. However, Immortal can help Jeff win or help him lose. If Immortal interferes and is caught in the act, Anderson will get an easy win by DQ.
Who Are
6 of 6
The biggest question of all. Crimson has been warning Immortal, but the question is, who are "THEY"?
With Booker T and Nash returning to WWE, the chances of a Main Event Mafia reunion are slim. The only guys from the original Main Event Mafia that are in TNA are Kurt Angle and now Scott Steiner (and Joe, if you want to count him.)
Booker T and Kevin Nash may not be part of "THEY", but there is still Sting right? Maybe. Maybe not. A clip aired on RAW last night which is rumored to have featured Sting. The clip said 2.21.11, the date of which this figure will debut.
If Sting is not part of "THEY" this February 3rd, then it is safe to assume that it was him featured in the clip on RAW. If three out of five of the original Main Event Mafia don't show up, it might be safe to assume a MEM reunion will not be "THEY".
So who is it? As I said on an early slide, Dixie can be behind "THEY", and "THEY" can turn out to be Fortune.
Think about it. Immortal is standing in the ring and Crimson comes out and says "THEY'RE HERE!" then have Fortune turn face and attack Immortal. Immortal vs. Fortune. I said early Abyss might not make it to iMPACT!, which levels the sides equally. Immortal will have Matt and Jeff Hardy with Rob Terry and Jeff Jarrett get attcked by AJ Styles, Kazarian, and Beer Money.
