There was no Bollywood ending for the former feuding doubles partners Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi of India Saturday night in Australia.

Instead, the men's doubles final was an American classic.

The top-ranked team of twin brothers Mike and Bob Bryan won its 10th men's doubles Grand Slam, blasting the "Indian Express" 6-3, 6-4.

The first set took just under half an hour and revealed to the Indian duo that they were in for the fight of their lives.

The second set was a bit closer, but the Bryans were in command throughout, taking their fifth Australian Open title to break their own record.

The Bryans now stand just one behind the Australian duo of Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde for most Open Era men's doubles Slams. The Woodies combined to win 11 and were elected into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2010.

Paes and Bhupathi were playing together in a Slam for the first time since 2002 and were attempting to complete their own career Grand Slam for men's doubles.

The Bryans out-aced their opponents 9-1, took advantage of four double faults and won 78 percent of their first and second serves.

Leander Paes said of the opponents and loss, "You know, we had a great couple of weeks. We had a tough draw. Pretty much played all the best teams in the world getting to the final. Today we lost to the best team on the planet who played lights out today. They served 83 percent first serves. I thought we started off really well getting up Love-40 on their first service game."
