Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Patriots safety is coming off of a quality season, finishing the year with 68 tackles and three interceptions. Meriweather has stalled a bit this year, however, with his production dropping slightly from years past. But Meriweather made the squad, and takes it as a compliment.
“It means a lot, even to be an alternate in this game."
Meriweather spoke with the media some more following the AFC's Saturday walk-through and believes he's one of the best players at his position.
“It’s an indicator that my peers think I’m one of the better players at my position in the league."
Meriweather joins other Patriot players Wes Welker, Logan Mankins, Matt Light, Vince Wilfork, Devin McCourty and Jerod Mayo.
Quarterback Tom Brady was named to the team, but will not make the trip due to a recent surgery on his right foot.
