ShutdownCorner21.com Pick 6 For Packers Vs Lions

Lions vs Packers

1. Has Aaron Rodgers officially arrived?
I know it is only Week two, but could you have asked any more from a guy in one of the most difficult spots in sports history? 328 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions are absurd numbers, no matter who you are playing. It is even more amazing when you consider it is his first career road start. There is no doubt that the Aaron Rodgers era is upon us.

2. Was Ryan Grant a flash in the pan?
I don’t know if he was, but he surely is trying to make himself one. The holdout during training camp and now this hamstring injury could derail what was once a budding career. It is only Week two and it is too early to judge, but I seriously doubt Ryan Grant will ever be a superstar running back.

3. Has Greg Jennings replaced Donald Driver as Green Bay’s number one receiver?
It sure seems that way. Rodgers clearly has a rapport with Jennings and is not hesitant to look his way. The former Western Michigan star is becoming a huge big play threat, with catches of 56 and 62 yards the first two weeks of the season. The torch has been passed.

4. What, if anything, is going to stop Calvin Johnson in 2008?
Nothing. This freak of nature is finally healthy and gained some needed experience last season. He plays with a quarterback who loves to throw it, and his defense is sub par. This means more passing plays. If Calvin can stay healthy, he can easily put up 100 catches and 1400 yards this year.

5. Can Rodgers lead this offense to similar success of the 2007 version?
Aaron Rodgers is the real deal. The team still has a plethora of weapons to throw to, and even with Ryan Grant struggling they still have a stable of young running backs anxious to make their mark. Mike McCarthy still runs a fine offense, and barring a massive regression by Rodgers, this team should pick up where it left off last year.

6. How many games will Jon Kitna start this year?
This sure is a hard question to answer. The team brought in Dan Orlovsky for mop-up duty after Kitna threw back-to-back interceptions for touchdowns. Not to mention the fact that last years second round pick Drew Stanton is waiting in the wings. A few more three turnover games from Kitna and we may see the end of his run in Detroit and probably the NFL.
