WWE Elimination Chamber: Bold Picks For The World Title Matches
We're officially on the Road to Wrestlemania, as the Royal Rumble is upon us. Forty men are competing in this year's Rumble match to see who will main-event Wrestlemania.
However, there is a pay-per-view that gets lost in the chaos of Wrestlemania season: WWE Elimination Chamber.
This has proven to give shockers, such as Shawn Michaels interfering in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match, superkicking The Undertaker.
Chris Jericho pinned the Undertaker, allowing Shawn Michaels to fight the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.
Without further ado, here are my early picks.
1. John Cena
1 of 12
It's about certain that John Cena will be in the Elimination Chamber match this year. He's already in half the WWE Championship pay-per-view matches; putting him in the Chamber match this year will cause no surprises.
He is as much of a lock to participate as the champion is.
2. Sheamus
2 of 12
As the King of the Ring, it is almost certain that Sheamus will be participating in the Elimination Chamber match.
It sometimes gets forgotten that it was at this pay-per-view last year that he lost the championship to John Cena.
He is a powerhouse and, as the only heel powerhouse on RAW, greatly deserves to be in this match.
3. The Miz (champion)
3 of 12
It seems as though there is no way that The Miz will lose his title after the Royal Rumble. It is almost a lock that Alex Riley will interfere and cause mayhem in the match, letting The Miz keep his title.
He will be the only Superstar who does not have to qualify.
4. Randy Orton
4 of 12
WWE's resident viper, Randy Orton, is yet another lock to be in the Elimination Chamber match. As one of the seemingly few true main-eventers, and no feud to be put in, he is certain to be a participant.
He is my pick to win.
5. CM Punk
5 of 12
CM Punk is the top heel in WWE today. He is the leader of the most powerful faction WWE has seen in years: the Nexus.
If John Cena is a participant, there is no reason that CM Punk won't be.
6. Triple H
6 of 12
So many people are speculating that Triple H will return for the Royal Rumble that it will be a surprise if he is not in the match at Elimination Chamber.
Adding him to the match will cause an even 3-3 split between faces and heels.
1. Edge (champion)
7 of 12
The first participant in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match is the most obvious.
It seems as if there is no way for Dolph Ziggler to win against Edge at the Royal Rumble, therefore making Edge a lock.
2. Wade Barrett
8 of 12
As the leader of the most powerful faction on Smackdown, Wade Barrett has a ton going for him.
And seeing as he isn't in a feud right now, he will almost certainly be a participant in the Elimination Chamber match.
3. The Big Show
9 of 12
The Big Show is always around the title picture, even though he rarely gets title runs.
I see him being used as more of a filler, though a formidable filler nonetheless. He deserves to be in this match.
4. Alberto Del Rio
10 of 12
He is currently the Superstar with the biggest push in WWE.
He has proven to be a worthy competitor, both in the ring and on the mic. He is arguably the top heel on Smackdown.
5. Kane
11 of 12
Kane, like The Big Show, is always around the title picture, but rarely gets runs with the gold.
Again, he seems like "filler" material, and should not be taken as a serious contender in this match.
6. Rey Mysterio
12 of 12
The ultimate underdog, Rey Mysterio, will be the final participant. He is currently the second-biggest face on Smackdown, and is a worthy addition to the match.
