NFL Pro Bowl: The Top 5 Pro Bowl Jerseys from the Last 15 Years

Orly Rios Jr.Jun 7, 2018

I wrote an article a while back that I am completely against the NFL Pro Bowl. Not because I don't like the game itself, rather because I hate the rules that the NFL places on the Pro Bowl.

Football is football, the Pro Bowl is 7-on-7 drills. There is no blitzing, no blocking of field goals and punts, or as one person put it, no playing too hard.

The only cool thing about the Pro Bowl is the jerseys. In the photo of Warren Moon, you can see that back in the day, the NFL conferences were known as American and National, whereas now they are simply known as AFC and NFC.

With that bit of history, here is a list of the top five Pro Bowl jerseys from the last 15 seasons.

2010 NFC

The 2010 Pro Bowl jersey is identical to the 2009 Pro Bowl jersey.

2010 also marked the first time that the NFL changed locations of the Pro Bowl game from Hawaii to the site of Super Bowl XLIV (44), Miami. Yes, the 2009 and 2010 Pro Bowl jerseys are the same, but the 2010 jerseys looked nicer with a deeper blue, or it could have been that the game was played at night, giving them the darker look compared to sunny Hawaii. Solid overall jerseys.

2006 AFC

The 2006 AFC Pro Bowl jerseys were solid red and were worn with white pants.

The solid red and simple design made for nice looking jerseys that stood out, while the NFC's white jerseys made them look plain and bland.

2008 AFC

The 2008 AFC Pro Bowl jerseys again were solid, and the red pants and red socks looked more like the Kansas City Chiefs current road uniforms than the AFC did. Still, this uniform was nice and simple and included grey stars inside the chest area of the jerseys.

2007 NFC

The 2007 NFC Pro Bowl jerseys were all around solid.

The design from afar looked simple, but up close, they were rock solid.

They featured the player's team logo on the right chest area, the Pro Bowl patch on the left side and inside the front jersey, dark blue stars.

The 2008 Topps football card company got exclusive rights to feature these jerseys in a Pro Bowl subset, and you can really see and appreciate the overall design of the 2007 NFC Pro Bowl jersey.

1995 NFC

Quite simply put, the 1995 NFC Pro Bowl jerseys were awesome.

They were dark blue, and they had V-shape design with the point running over the left chest area. The number wasn't in the middle of the jersey anymore, but rather over the top right side.

The AFC wore the exact same jersey and scheme, but the NFC's dark blue color scheme was better looking.
