Jimmer Fredette: Is He Human?
For that matter, are the BYU Cougars human too? Off to a 20-1 start they seem to be untouchable.
Jimmer Fredette being the heart of the team's success.
Last night alone he went off against No. 4 San Diego State (undefeated at the time too) putting up 43 points, alone. But this is surprise to Fredette, or fans for that matter. Last night was the third time he put up 40 plus points in a game. He hasn't played a game this season where he hasn't had single digit points numbers.

UConn's STACKED Schedule ☠️

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
This certainly helps out his NBA stock as he's more than halfway done with his senior year at BYU. After all he has a commanding lead for the best offensive player in the NCAA with 27.4 points per game average.
What team will he go to though? It's a little to early to tell considering the draft lottery hasn't been conducted yet, nor is it June 23rd. But it's evident that he'll be going at least in the Top Five.
But can Fredette alone carry the Cougars deep into the March Madness Tournament? Aside from blocks per game, steals per game and rebounds per game, Jimmer leads the team in all other offensive categories. How will the Cougars do in the bracket?
I feel that the Cougars can go somewhat deep into tournament. But if you take a glance at their schedule and you'll see that they've played some pretty mediocre teams. This being mainly because of them being in the Mountain West Conference. Their only loss comes from UCLA, a team in a better conference with a better program.
You can also see that it flusters Fredette: he committed seven turnovers in the game against UCLA. He also leads his team with 2.4 turnovers a game.
So yes, Jimmer is human. But he's an extraordinary one, especially at basketball. The numbers he produces will easily get him a starting job in the NBA come next season and if he can continue to keep his team hot they can go far in March Madness.
It sure is fun to watch him, too.
