Every program around the country has one week.

In seven days, pledges from all around the country will turn into signed letters of intent.

Outrage will fly right along with adulation from camps both losing recruiting battles and gaining surprise commitments.

When Boca Raton, Florida wide receiver Robert Lockhart received an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers, he wasn’t about to wait very long to see what the school was all about.

Lockhart is currently in Lincoln seeing the sights before he visits Virginia Tech this upcoming weekend.

He holds offers from both the Cornhuskers and Hokies right along with Kansas State, Eastern Michigan and others.

Nebraska has another wide receiver commitment from Weston, Massachusetts’ Taariq Allen, a 6’3” 191 lb. prospect. Lockhart would give the Cornhuskers another tall, speedy threat to help replace the gap Niles Paul leaves.

As a senior at West Boca Raton High School, Lockhart hauled in 34 receptions for 686 yards and six TDs.

He also played in the the Lytal Reiter Smith Ivey and Fronrath Trial Attorneys High School Football All-Star Game last Saturday, featuring 47 players from across the state of Florida.

Lockhart had four catches for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including the game-winning score.

He was named the game’s MVP for his efforts.

Purdue commit Frankie Williams and offensive/defensive lineman Akeem Gonzales will be visiting the Cornhuskers this weekend.

Nebraska still has a few slots open in their current recruiting class and are making their final pushes before the class is signed, sealed and delivered.

National Signing Day is coming. Don't be out of the loop!
