Wes Welker: Patriots WR Regrets Foot-Filled Press Conference
Before boarding his flight to Hawaii, New England Patriots WR Wes Welker admitted that he regrets his press conference during the week against the New York Jets.
Welker threw out 11 foot references that were intended to mock Jets head coach Rex Ryan's foot fetish.
Welker admitted to the Boston Herald that his actions were not worth the consequences.

"I'm not going to get into any details about it," said Welker, "but I don't think it's worth putting (Bill Belichick) in that situation. So, in a sense, I do regret it. As much as you might want to get enticed into that stuff, at the end of the day, it's just not worth it."
New England's head coach Bill Belichick sat Welker for the first offensive possession and then allowed Welker to play his normal amount of plays.
News broke before the game that Welker was being benched for his foot-filled press conference, and it was a shock to many.
"At the end of the day, it's about football," said Welker. "That's what it's supposed to be about. That's all that matters. It's concentrating on your job and what you do, and not concentrating on the riffraff that goes with all that other stuff. It's about the team and going out there and playing good football. And not getting caught up in all the media hype. It's just not worth it."
When all is said and done, Welker knows he should have just simply put his foot in his mouth.
No pun intended.
