Nobody Seems to Care About the Buffalo Bills

Currently, the Buffalo Bills are first in the AFC East.  They completely dominated the Seattle Seahawks, a perennial division leader.  They led a glorious comeback against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  They lead the conference in net points and they're third in touchdowns scored.  Yet nobody seems to care about the Buffalo Bills.  Tom Brady's out for the season, and the New York Bretts proved that they aren't the team to beat.  Yet despite the fact that the Bills beat two playoff contenders, nobody wants to even mention them and the word postseason in the same breath.

As I watched NBC's halftime coverage of the Pittsburgh at Cleveland exhibition, I noticed one key thing.  At halftime, during the highlights of "all Week 2 games," they failed to mention the Bills.  They didn't even bother to show any footage of the game, as if it never happened.  In fact, I only heard the word "Bill" once.  Unfortunately, the word "Cowher" soon followed.  Now, the Jury is still out on the Buffalo Bills.  Although they're 2-0, they beat a team missing four wide receivers and a team missing three offensive linemen.  Although they're first in the division, its only because the Patriots are still reeling over the loss of their shining glory.  Sure, their defense is questionable after playing those teams.  But the fact that nobody mentions how great they performed on offense these past two games still eludes me.  They have a rookie quarterback who shows signs of hope.  They have one of the best left tackles in the league.  They have a strong workload back who is reliable on every down.  To me, it seems that the Buffalo Bills will make the playoffs, maybe even take the division.  They have a great chance to enter their bye week with a 5-0 record, they have the sixth-easiest schedule in the league, and the AFC balance of power has completely shifted in their favor.  Yet, even with everything working in their favor, nobody seems to care about the Buffalo Bills.
