Chad Pennington: The Comeback Kid?
By: Lou Taylor
According to recent interviews, Chad Pennington isn’t quite ready to hang it up.
Pennington, 34, has been plagued with injuries throughout his career. However, this is a fact that hasn’t kept him from succeeding in the past.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Pennington is a two-time NFL Comeback Player of the Year, and in 2008 he finished 2nd in MVP voting, behind only Peyton Manning.
Is this time different? That’s the question. Pennington is recovering from his fourth surgery on his throwing shoulder. Not an easy task for any quarterback.
“I’ve accepted the possibility of being with another team,” Pennington admitted, “and the possibility of no one being interested.”
Teams may not show interest. Pennington only ran two plays this season with the Miami Dolphins before opting for surgery.
Can he stay healthy and is he worth the risk? This is a major unknown and will take a lot of work on Pennington’s part. But the comeback seems to be his specialty. And who doesn’t love a good comeback story?
Only time will tell if Pennington can do it again. But it should be fun to watch.
