Crying with Vikings Fans
If you've read any of my Facebook stuff, you know how annoying it is for me to continuously write about how bad Tarvaris Jackson is. I know you're sick of it. Hell, I'm almost sick of it. But I feel I need to take up this banner because I am a diehard Ravens fan and I need to empathize with the long-suffering denizens of Minnesota.
NFL teams need to realize that you cannot win a Super Bowl with a bad QB. The 2000 Ravens' blueprint should be tossed out. One, that was a once-in-a-lifetime defense (and as good as the '08 Vikes are, they ain't that good). Two, Trent Dilfer was able to utilize the weapons around him to at least move the ball. Tarvaris Jackson cannot do this.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I make a big deal about this because I watched the Ravens try to recreate the magic with a string of bad QBs. Elvis Grbac, Chris Redman, Jeff Blake, Anthony Wright, a washed-up Steve McNair, and, of course, patron saint Kyle Boller.
They either had a strong arm and no accuracy to sustain drives, were somewhat accurate but turnover prone, or just plain sucked.
Meanwhile, a strong running game and kick-ass D were left on the sidelines. If the Ravens had a competent QB they might have won at least one more Super Bowl. Instead, we watched loaded teams get wasted year after year.
Well, I don't want to see that happen to the good people of Minnesota. Their fans have suffered enough. I watched the first half of the Vikes-Colts game yesterday. Their defense simply sucked the will out of Indy. Adrian Peterson was going nuts. And yet...they had no QB.
I advocate giving John David Booty a shot. Maybe he can give you a Kyle Orton-in-'05 type of performance. Plus, he had plenty of big game experience with USC. I just refuse to believe that he could be substantially worse than Tarvaris Jackson.
I know the phrase "Booty Time" sounds like a bad porno, but he's probably more accurate than Jackson and can move the ball better, which is all Minny needs, at least for this year. Right now, they're the only team that can match Dallas in talent in the NFC (except for maybe Green Bay). Please, Brad Childress, please do not let that talent go to waste!
