Ohio State Football: Ejuan Price Picks the Buckeyes
David ThurmanJan 17, 2011
The Buckeyes picked up their 21st commitment tonight, as linebacker Ejuan Price picked OSU over Iowa.
Tressel actually traveled to Price's home for a visit this evening, where Price informed him of the decision. While nobody will be shocked by this announcement (and most saw it coming), this is still a big get for the staff as National Signing Day approaches.
Price comes from Woodland Hills High School in Pittsburgh and is listed at 6'0" 235 pounds. He has put on a show there the last two seasons, racking up over 100 tackles and 10 sacks each season.

Honestly, you would think his film and statistics would have generated more buzz from Buckeyes fans, who seem much more enthralled with guys like James Vaughters and Curtis Grant.
The recruiting services have a lot of respect for him though. Bob Lichtenfels of Scout.com has this to say about Price:
"The only chink in Price's game may be his size at right around 5-11/6-0 tall. Price is a devastating tackler who has a very quick first step and closes fast on the ball carrier. He sheds blocks and plays well in traffic. Price moves well laterally tracking down ball carriers sideline to sideline. Shows above average cover skills in the hook/curl zone."
Sound like Brian Rolle anyone?

Anyway, great get for the staff. With Price, Crowell and Shazier, the staff has a solid core of linebackers coming in this next year.
If they can somehow bait Vaughters or Grant to come to Columbus, we may just be looking at the best class in the Tressel era.
(Check out some film on Price after the jump...)
