College Football's Top 10 Justified, Plus the Rest of My Top 25
Feel free to leave comments.
1. USC Trojans
After obliterating OSU, the Trojans can go ahead and punch their ticket to South Beach.
2. Georgia Bulldogs
Every year the South Carolina vs. Georgia game is close, so the Dogs shouldn't be punished for a victory in a rivalry like this.
3. Oklahoma Sooners
Blowing out a team that is now 0-3 may be impressive to some people, but not me. That is why they stay at number three.
4. Missouri Tigers
Missouri is number four not because they blew out Nevada, but because the Gators are not top five quality and Mizzou already posted some numbers against Illinois in Week One.
5. LSU Tigers
LSU is easily one of the best teams in the nation with one of the best defenses. Unfortunately, they have not gotten to show it off yet in SEC play.
6. Texas Longhorns
This week would have been fun to see how good the Longhorns really are against an SEC team. Too bad the Hurricane came to town.
7. Florida Gators
Florida is a good team, but not top five material yet. I'd like to see Tim Tebow beat a ranked opponent (which he didn't do last year) before putting them with the most elite teams.
8. Wisconsin Badgers
The Badgers traveled to and beat a good Fresno State team. It will be interesting to see how they do when Big Ten play rolls around.
9. Alabama Crimson Tide
The Tide have been able to put up some numbers, including a win against a talented Clemson team in Week One.
10. Texas Tech Red Raiders
Texas Tech has beaten two teams that are almost legitimate. Nevada is playing good teams (Texas Tech and Mizzou), and SMU has some good potential under new coach June Jones.
11. Auburn Tigers
12. Ohio St. Buckeyes
13. South Florida Bulls
14. Kansas Jayhawks
15. BYU Cougars
16. Penn State Nittany Lions
17. Fresno State Bulldogs
18. East Carolina Pirates
19. Oregon Ducks
20. Utah Utes
21. Wake Forest Demon Deacons
22. West Virginia Mountaineers
23. Illinois Fighting Illini
24. Clemson Tigers
25. Vanderbilt Commodores
