Eagles Already Hyped For Game, Owens, Despite Simpson's comment
Younger Bleacher Report readers might wonder what planet Iโm from, as they often do, but I really donโt know who Jessica Simpson is, but I do have an opinion about what she said about kicking the Eaglesโ butts.
So what?
Is it not good to have an excellent Dallas team to hate?

Was it Mike Ditka who said on Monday Night Football that a bad Oakland Raiders is not good for the NFL? I think I recall him saying that, and I agree with him and will add Dallas to that.
So who cares if Simpson gets a bit confident? She should be. Her boyfriend, Cowboysโ quarterback Tony Romo, is among the finest star prospects in years.
In a year that unfortunately saw Tom Brady go down, the NFL needs a bit of spice.
Now, donโt get me wrong. I hate the Cowboys and I hate the Raiders. By writing this, Iโm a bit nauseated because the Cowboys stopped my โNiners in the early 1970s and again in the early 1990s. Hating the Raiders is easily understandable, in the sense of rivalry, but I will say that their fans are awesome at home games.
Romo seems like a decent guy, and heโs becoming a great quarterback; however, he is not yet great. He has not won a playoff game, although this may be his year.
As for Simpsonโs comments motivating the Eagles, get real.
The Eagles are hyped for this game, but Iโll admit it: In sports, even a small bit of motivation can put you over the edge in terms of performance. While Simpsonโs comment alone is not enough to motivate the Eagles to victory, it may be enough to add a bit of a chip on the Eaglesโ shoulders.
In other words, when a media star comes out and says you are going to get your butts kicked and its aired internationally, wouldnโt you be a bit motivated to do even better? I would be, because I remember playing sports, and I remember taunts by cheerleaders that would just make me play harder. Yeah, the taunts and chants would give me that needed chip.
Plus, there is always the motivating factor for the Eagles of planting some pain on Terrell Owens, which Iโll enjoy, if they do. In saying that, however, I donโt want Owens to suffer an injury. Just make him a little dizzy.
Letโs hope the Cowboys are the ones who get their butts kicked!
