NFL Rumors: Nnamdi Asomugha, Vince Young, Kevin Kolb, Reggie Bush To What Teams?
NFL Rumors
The 2011 playoffs are in the divisional round, but the 24 teams who aren't still playing are focused on the NFL Draft, free agency and potential offseason trades.
Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb and New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush are four marquee names that will likely be available this offseason.
So the question is, where will they end up?
Nnamdi Asomugha: Three Likely Suitors
1 of 10
1. Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys could absolutely use a shutdown corner, and Asomugha wouldn't mind playing for America's team. Jerry Jones wouldn't mind paying up, either. The main problem would be if they can fit him under the salary cap, and with the uncertain CBA situation, no one can project how big of a problem that will be.
2. Washington Redskins: Again, Dan Snyder would have no problem paying up, and the Redskins could certainly use him. Cap space could be a problem, as could the Redskins' lack of talent. Asomugha may not want to leave Oakland for a potentially even worse team.
3. Baltimore Ravens: If the Ravens added a shutdown corner to their defense, they could be unstoppable. They might not want to pay up, though.
Prediction: Cowboys

If cap space doesn't get in the way, Jerry Jones should get his man.
Dark Horse Suitor: San Diego Chargers
3 of 10
The Chargers reportedly have thought about this already. It would be smarter to focus on bringing back Vincent Jackson and filling other needs, but this remains a possibility.
Vince Young: Three Likely Suitors
4 of 10
1. Buffalo Bills: A perfect fit for Chan Gailey's offense.
2. Seattle Seahawks: Pete Carroll knows what Young can do.
3. Arizona Cardinals: They have a potential option in John Skelton, but why not bring in Young for some competition?
Prediction: Seahawks
5 of 10
Pete Carroll has no problem giving out second chances, and like I said, he knows first-hand how talented Young is.
Kevin Kolb: Three Likely Suitors
6 of 10
1. Minnesota Vikings: A potential playoff team with a huge hole at quarterback (thanks, Brett).
2. Tennessee Titans: Jeff Fisher's seat is getting warmer, and he doesn't have time to develop a rookie quarterback, and I don't think he's dumb enough to move on with Kerry Collins at the helm.
3. San Francisco 49ers: Jim Harbaugh may not want to start off his tenure with the mercurial Vince Young, but the more level-headed Kolb would be a good choice. He has a playoff-ready team (a.k.a they're capable of winning seven games) and shouldn't have to wait for a rookie to develop.
Prediction: Titans
7 of 10
Each team is likely to make a similar offer of mostly draft picks (first rounder-plus?) so the Eagles would be smart to keep Kolb out of the NFC.
Why hand him over to the Vikings or 49ers only to face one of them in the playoffs?
Reggie Bush: Three Likely Suitors
8 of 10
1. Seattle Seahawks: What Pete Carroll would do to get Reggie back...
2. New York Jets: The Jets have needed an explosive running back since Leon Washington left and it's been even more evident since they let Danny Woodhead go. Also, LT could potentially leave. Money would likely be an issue, though, as the Jets have bigger priorities.
3. Indianapolis Colts: Imagine what Peyton Manning could do with Bush at his disposal. Or just think back to Marshall Faulk or Edgerrin James. Again, though, money could be an issue.
Prediction: Seahawks

To follow up on the earlier statement: What Pete Carroll do to get Reggie back...
Take what he'd do for a Klondike Bar, and multiply that by Reggie's heisman wins. Oops, never mind. Well, multiply it by a lot.
He'll overpay for Bush and insure that he comes to Seattle (to a playoff team!).
