Steelers vs Browns: Who Will Win the week's best matchup?
Many people agree that the best matchup of week 2 of the NFL season is the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Cleveland Browns. Although the Steelers have won the past nine meetings with the Browns, the game could be much more winnable for the Browns than it ever has.
Every one knows what Cleveland did last season. After yet another opening week loss (this time to the Steelers), the Browns switched things up by putting Derek Anderson in at quarterback instead of rookie Brady Quinn. The Dawg Pound (Cleveland's fans) were initially disappointed that Quinn was not put in at QB wondering how Anderson could improve the Browns. Well all Anderson did was give the Browns a 10-6 season and save Romeo Crennel's job.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This season, the Browns lost again on opening weekend, this time to the Cowboys. For the Browns, losing to the Steelers could put them in a giant hole. The Browns had a horrible showing in week 1 when new acquisition Dante Stallworth was injured (doubtful for the game) and Braylon Edwards fresh off of his stupid bet with Michael Phelps, had an off game.
The Steelers last season started off very well, but once they lost Aaron Smith, they lost their season. They never were able to have that same spark and the late season injury of Willie Parker certainly didn't help anything.
The Steelers started their season off in convincing form. In a week where Tom Brady, Vince Young, Brody Croyle, and others were knocked out of their games, Steelers fans had nothing to fear as the Steelers most specifically Lamar Woodley, Ben Roethlisberger, and Willie Parker, took care of business early.
Although on paper this matchup looks like a cake walk for the Steelers, it is Sunday Night Football in Cleveland, and you know that their fans will be fired up. The Steelers are in the softest part of their schedule which gets really tough right after their bye week. The Browns are at home for the second consecutive week, but it is another tough opponent for them, and their fans have high expectations for them after last season's successes.
Because of Baltimore and Cincinatti's recent failures, the AFC North is practically a two horse race, and this winner of this matchup will have a huge leg up on the other team.
How do I see it playing out? I am expecting another Steelers win, but I am expecting a price to be paid. I am thinking they may lose a key component to their team. I know that Roethlisberger is not out of the game (in fact he is listed as probable) but his injury is more severe than he lets it on to be. It will be very interesting to see how he performs and if the offensive line can hold it's own against Shaun Rogers and the Browns defense.
Prediction: Steelers 28-21
