GK: Manuel Almunia
The Arsenal No. 1 did his job without any problems. In most of the situations he had to intervene, there were attempts to find Blackburn’s strikers by high balls. He was able to collect the ball in every one of them. He made a nice save in the second half to stop a shot from Benny McCarthy.
RB: Bakary Sagna
He made very few mistakes. He was stable for most of the match.
CB: Kolo Toure
Even though his partnership with Gallas looked fragile at some moments of the match, Arsenal did not concede. They have conceded only one goal since the start of the season.
Defensively, Toure did his job. He even had of chance to score a goal, when after a corner from the left side; he intercepted the ball only to see it terrifically saved by Robinson.
CB: William Gallas
He was not very noticeable throughout the match but was stable with only few misunderstandings between him and teammate Bakary Sagna.

Once again a top class performance by Gael Clichy, making only one mistake, when in the first half he allowed Brett Emerton to break free. Fortunately for him, the attack was wasted by the Blackburn players.
LM/RM: Theo Walcott
What a match for the new hero of England. He seemed to be still in Zagreb and displayed an inspirational performance on this day. He assisted Robin van Persie for the first Arsenal goal. He was a nuisance for the Blackburn defenders, terrorizing them with his speed and technique.
Most of his runs were successful in this match. It was top level performance by Theo. Arsene Wenger gave him a well deserved break, replacing him in 63rd minute.

He added some valuable experience under his belt. He played with enthusiasm and made some good passes as well as some bad ones too. He made one goal assist. It was a successful performance by the young Brazilian. Referee Mike Dean booked him for handball play, awarding Blackburn a free kick.
CM: Francesc Fabregas
Good team play by the Spanish European champion and Arsenal play-maker. He passed the ball at his usual high standard and contributed a lot to Arsenal’s style of play in this game.
RM/LM: Emmanuel Eboue
He played on the right side at first, and in the second half he swapped places with Theo Walcott.
He was brought down by Warnock in the Penalty box in the 76th minute and Mike Dean awarded a penalty for Arsenal. Eboue was replaced by Aaron Ramsey because he sustained an injury.
ST: Emannuel Adebayor
He demonstrated a performance to which every striker in the world would be envious. He did his job very effectively, using his shots at goal to the fullest, and scored three goals.
Firstly, just before the break he took full use of Denilson’s cross from the left side and slid the ball past Robinson with his head. Then he coolly took the penalty in the 76th minute, making it 3-0 to Arsenal.
He completed his hat-trick in the last minute when he demonstrated good composure to beat Robinson one-on-one. He sould work on staying onside more.
ST: Robin van Persie
He continues his good form. He showed great efficiency and grabbed a goal. Well played by the Dutchman. He was replaced by 16-year-old Jack Wilshere in the 81st minute.
