Rush Limbaugh and the 10 Worst Celebrity Golfers

Patrick ClarkeJun 7, 2018

In the spirit of Rush Limbaugh's coming appearance on the Golf Channel's The Haney Project, we celebrate all that Hollywood and the game of golf have to offer.

Though they are celebrities and not professional golfers, we still enjoy laughing at them. Whether it's at a a charity event, just recreational or both, these 10 celebrities should stick to the limelight.

The list includes comedians and actors, as well as former athletes. The one thing they all have in common is their horrendous golf game.

No. 10: Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods is both a celebrity and a golfer. Though he is one of the world's finest, what would the list be without him?

His less than recent off-course struggles, however, have brought his career and legacy in question. But for now he will have to settle for No. 10.

No. 9: Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg is a blockbuster draw at the box office, but his swing could use a tad more work. Wahlberg is an avid golf player and fan.

He has competed in several charity tournaments, including a golf event to raise money for Haiti.

No. 8: George Lopez

George Lopez is a funny guy, especially when it comes to golf. Lopez has raised tons of money in support of great causes through various golf charities.

Lopez has learned a lot from golf though and has had quite a few unique experiences with the game.

Bill Murray was funny on the golf course with Michael Jordan in Space Jam, and he still is today. Murray is a regular at many charity events and a constant follower of the sport.

Murray may not take himself seriously, but he does enjoy some golf.

No. 6: Ray Romano

In all fairness, Ray Romano has sought help for his golf swing. The comedian didn't have to dig very deep to find his character's love of golf while acting the lead role on television's Everybody Loves Raymond.

No. 5: Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh is one of the nation's most listened-to radio hosts—and his golf swing likely sounds better than it looks.

He will, however, be appearing on this season of The Haney Project with hopes of improving his swing.

No. 4: Jimmy Kimmel

The late night talk show host was never destined to be a professional golfer. This becomes especially obvious when other celebrities are making you look bad.

Watch as Justin Timberlake shows up Jimmy on his own show.

No. 3: Lawrence Taylor

The former NFL great is used to crushing quarterbacks, not tiny white golf balls. LT is a good sport for trying, but this swing is downright offensive.

No. 2: Tyreke Evans

The Sacramento Kings' gifted young talent out of Memphis will no doubt be sticking to basketball after dipping his toes into golf last summer.

No. 1: Charles Barkley

There has never been a more infamous swing in the history of the game. Former NBA legend and now TNT analyst Charles Barkley sometimes looks as if he is playing ice hockey.

Barkley received lessons from Hank Haney in season one of the The Haney Project, but they look to have gone in one ear and right out the other.
