NFL Playoff Podcast With Ian Dinsmore: We Talk Seahawks-Bears and Other Games

Kevin NesgodaJan 12, 2011

Ian Dinsmore joins me once again on to talk about the NFL playoffs.

We immediately jump into the horrible coaching that doomed the Indianapolis Colts and allowed the Jets to make it out of the first round and meet up with their arch-nemesis, the New England Patriots.

From there, we go into talks about the trash-talking between the Jets and the Patriots. We bring up the potential for the Jets to beat the spread by a backdoor, but are in agreement that Mark Sanchez is probably the most overrated quarterback in the NFL and how Antonio Cromartie’s comments on Tom Brady are highly ill-advised and should lead to a fairly large blowout.

We then get into probably the best game of the weekend talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. We both agreed that the Steelers were going to win, but in a very close fashion and probably be the most physical game of the playoffs.

We then broke down the Eagles and Packers game. It was hard for me, so we moved on fairly quickly and got into the Packers-Falcons game.

We both thought that the Packers would win, but in a close game.

The Packers have a better overall team and are just really healthy. Too many weapons for the Packers and the Falcons are just way too vanilla on offense to really be much of a threat.

The Packers did lose a close game to them earlier in the season, but that won’t happen again.

We then get into probably the most unpredictable playoff game of the weekend and there is a lot of back and forth about who is going to win between the Seahawks and the Bears.

Discussed on where the game could go and how it could go down. Neither team has a huge advantage over the other and both teams are completely different than when they met in Week 6.

Ian ultimately ended up going for the Seahawks, while I took the Bears rather comfortably.

Then we ended the podcast talking about BYU’s Jimmer Verdette and trying to figure out a good nickname for him, but we failed miserably and compared him to milk.

This was a very fun podcast and we both hope you enjoy it.
