Marquez Third Fight With Pacquiao Is Far From Possible

   Plans of former Super Featherweight Champion Juan Manuel Marquez, to get a third fight with Lightweight Champion Manny Pacquiao, could be disrupted if he will fail to beat Lightweight Linear Champion Joel Casamayor , and if the Pacman will beat Oscar Dela Hoya on their scheduled December 06, fight.

    These are the two scenarios that are threatening the Pacquiao-Marquez III encounter.
 
    Marquez who lost on the second meeting with Pacquiao, via split decision was not contented with the result and further claimed that he won that fight, thus, is itching to get another shot with the Filipino Mexican tormentor.

    Talks are circulating in the boxing industry that Pacquiao is planning to stay on the Welterweight division if he will prevail over Dela Hoya on their scheduled match. Regardless on the way he wins against Dela Hoya, a win is a win that Pacquiao, will be decisive to continue his journey on the much higher division.

    Provided Marquez will beat Casamayor and Pacquiao will lost to ODLH, an immediate third fight is still impossible because Bob Arum and Pacquiao are eyeing on Ricky Hatton as his next opponent, which will definitely hamper Marquez’ plan.

   Come to think, Hatton-Pacquiao will be more lucrative match than Marquez due to the superstar status of the two fighters who has their own multitude of followers. We know millions of Britain fans will be rooting for Hatton while multitude of Filipino including Mexicans who learned to love Pacqauio, will surely cheers for the Filipino boxing icon.  Surely, this would be another box office hits!!! This would be a great match between the two who are known to be sluggers, hard punchers and fearless atop the ring. 

     So, a third fight between Marquez and Pacquiao is still in a narrow chance. As of now Marquez should concentrate more on the Cuban fighter Casamayor, who is a dangerous opponent for him. Casamayor is a veteran and skilled boxer who knocked out Australian Lightweight king Michael Katsidis and many more durable fighters in the business today.

    Pacquiao is also planning to hang his glove after two more fights that includes Hatton, and probably Mayweather if ever he'll come out of retirement or anybody in the welterweight division. Again, Marquez is not the team Pacquiao's radar!!
