2011 NFL Free Agents: Michael Vick, Most Likely Destinations If He Leaves Eagles
The Eagles went out on a limb when they signed Michael Vick to a two-year contract that attempted to shake the rust off he accumulated in prison. Vick has in turn, rewarded the Eagles with MVP caliber Quarterback play in the second year of that two-year contract.
Just to let you in on a little secret and a piece of football knowledge that only the most privileged insiders, like myself, have: QBs coming off an MVP caliber season garner a lot of attention in free agency.
This means, unlike his post prison dalliance with free agency, Vick is going to be recruited heavily.
Of course, this all operates under the assumption that the owners and player's union can agree on a new collective bargaining agreement while Vick is still under the age of 40.
Also, the Eagles could prevent Michael Vick from hitting the free agent market by placing the franchise tag on him. This is a distinct possibility.
Still, would the Eagles risk facing a possible holdout by Vick and/or an upset Vick? Vick, who knows how fleeting the monetary affection of NFL clubs can be, may refuse to play until he gets a long term deal from the Eagles or someone else. At which point, the free agency process starts all over.
Trade or free agency, these are the likely destinations if Mike Vick leaves the Eagles.
No. 12: Miami Dolphins
1 of 12
The Miami Dolphins already displayed they were willing to make a big money splash this offseason when they reportedly offered to make Jim Harbaugh the highest paid coach in the NFL.
That didn't exactly work out, but it's apparent the Dolphins have some serious cash burning holes in their pockets. Despite Owner Steven Ross' past sentiment that Chad Henne would be the best QB in Dolphins history, don't be surprised if they attempt to upgrade the QB position.
Could Vick be taking his talents to South Beach?

No. 11: Oakland Raiders

When Al Davis decides he wants a player he usually gets him. This has led to players like DeAngello Hall, Javon Walker and Larry Brown being some of the biggest free agent busts in NFL history.
It has also led to the Raiders altering their offseason strategy. The past two seasons the Raiders have opted to build through the draft and re-sign their own guys as opposed to making the big free agent splash. Still, never count the Raiders out in the pursuit of a player with jaw dropping athletic ability.

No. 10: Cincinnati Bengals

Carson Palmer was once on the verge of the Quarterback elite. Those days are long gone. Palmer struggled through the 2010 season and he took the Bengals with him.
Marvin Lewis does not have the job security to build around a young QB. He is going to need to bring in someone that can come in and immediately make a difference, and Vick would immediately make a difference.
Chances of landing Vick: 20 Percent
No. 9: San Francisco 49ers
4 of 12
The 49ers got their coach--now they need to get their QB. Michael Vick's skill-set has never been seen before in the NFL, but if anyone comes close, it is the former 49er, Steve Young.
The 49ers young front office will try to persuade Vick that they can reach the top of the NFL mountain together by utilizing a blueprint from their past.
Chances of landing Vick: 22 Percent
No. 8: Minnesota Vikings
5 of 12
The Minnesota Vikings already have an established offseason QB recruiting system in place. They will just target a different QB this time.
The Vikings have made it clear that they do not think Tavaris Jackson is the future of their franchise. They are going to try and tempt Vick with the possibility of teaming with Adrian Peterson. That is a pitch that any QB would find hard to turn their back on.
Chances of landing Vick: 24.5 Percent
No. 7: Buffalo Bills
6 of 12
Ryan Fitzpatrick showed flashes of greatness this past season. He also showed flashes of backup(ness). As the season wore on, he flashed more of the latter.
I am sure the Bills are unconvinced that Fitzpatrick can be their future, but likely saw enough to give Fitzpatrick another year to prove it. That year would vanish if they could lure Vick to Buffalo and throw him in the backfield with C.J. Spiller.
Chances of landing Vick: 25 Percent
No. 6: Tennessee Titans
7 of 12
Vince Young is out; Kerry Collins can't play forever and not even Jeff Fisher can retain his job through another losing season.
The Titans will look to instantly resurrect their franchise. They will try and field the fastest backfield in the history of football by convincing Michael Vick to take the field with Chris Johnson.
Chances of landing Vick: 27 Percent
No. 5: Denver Broncos
8 of 12
Tim Tebow energized the Broncos when he got his chance to start. Still, he did little to prove that he has an elite level arm. If there is one thing the new Bronco football Czar, John Elway, knows, it is elite NFL arms.
The Broncos will likely be bringing in a new coach and there is a good chance that he and Elway will look to turn around the proud franchise with a QB not named Tebow. You have to believe that Elway would love to bring in a skill-set similar to his with Vick.
Chances of landing Vick: 33 Percent
No. 4: Dallas Cowboys

Jerry Jones does not like mediocrity. Has Romo ever proven he can be more than mediocre?
The Cowboys are going to do everything they can to upgrade their team this offseason. It is hard to imagine that Jones would not view Vick as a giant upgrade over Romo.
Chances of landing Vick: 39 Percent
No. 3: Seattle Seahawks
10 of 12
Matt Hasselbeck is 35 and on the last year of his contract. While Hasselbeck displayed, in a first-round playoff victory over the Saints, he still has what it takes, the Seahawks will likely look in another direction this offseason.
Head Coach Pete Carroll and Jeremy Bates, his Offensive Coordinator, have a vision of an offense with roll-outs and a mobile Quarterback. This is why they brought in Charlie Whitehurst. I doubt they would prefer to tie their future to Whitehurst over Vick. Would you?
Chances of landing Vick: 42 Percent
No. 3: Arizona Cardinals
11 of 12
Derek Anderson takes his job seriously, but maybe he shouldn't—he's not very good at it. In 2010, the Cardinals suffered through some of the worst QB play the league has seen. Along with Anderson, they started two different rookie QBs and neither looked like a viable NFL QB.
The Cardinals have one of the best Wide Receivers in football. Now they just need to get him a QB. The prospect of throwing to Larry Fitzgerald is an enticing thing for any QB.
Chances of landing Vick: 44.78 Percent
No. 1: Washington Redskins
12 of 12
Donovan McNabb is not going to come back to Washington. Rex Grossman is still Rex Grossman. Daniel Snyder is still not a patient man, he still has a lot of cash and he still is not afraid to spend it.
For the second year in a row, the Redskins will try to mine the rival Eagles for their answer at Quarterback.
