Last night marked the premiere of the third season of MTV's hit TV series, Jersey Shore, featuring eight approximately 20-30 year olds who like to party. Stuck in a house together, they go out partying, yet also find themselves amongst their own issues.

Looking at each of the members of the cast, if you look at each character situation (minus some of the female/male differences), they relate quite well to our NASCAR drivers.

So here is the cast of Jersey Shore, NASCAR style.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. As Mike ("The Situation")

"The Situation" is the one that always finds himself in the midst of a bunch of different problems. He is also known to many as leader to the house by how he carries himself.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. plays this role in the NASCAR world as he finds himself facing the legacy of his father and the dilemma of all his fame with a lack of success (in some people's opinions) on track.

He always finds himself in situations that cause analysts to have lots to say, from controversial radio conversations that most drivers don't get bugged about to the twitter incident with Darrell Waltrip to the latest crew chief change within the Hendrick Motorsports organization. Being the most popular driver, he also plays the role a lot of time as the leader of the house by leading the legion of fans.

Maybe in 2011 he can have the success on track that some have been expecting to equal his star-stuttered status, bringing forth a good situation.

Jimmie Johnson As DJ Pauly D

DJ Pauly D is the sidekick of "The Situation" and does not find himself in a lot of the fights, as he sits back and watches them happen.

Jimmie Johnson may not have the hair to contend with Pauly's; however with the new Hendrick Motorsports shop set-up, this role fits him perfectly. With the crew chief swap at Hendrick Motorsports, it also came with Dale Earnhardt Jr. moving into the old 248 shop while Gordon moved to the old 588 shop. The move was prompted by Hendrick to help all of his drivers. This, therefore, puts Johnson and Earnhardt working side-by-side, therefore giving Johnson the perfect role. If you also add the fact that these two call each other friends, this should be a good combination.

Johnson is also known for not getting involved in many confrontations, so he takes up this role perfectly. Johnson just goes about his business and gets it done. That is the world of Pauly D as he goes to the club and gets the girls that he wants to get. In a rare time, you will see Pauly involved in a confrontation (Angelina last season), yet Johnson also found himself involved in his own confrontation with Gordon last year.

Jamie McMurray As Vinny

Vinny is known as the sweetheart in the house who tries to be nice to everybody. He also is close with his family, who visited him for a week last season.

Jamie McMurray takes the role of the sweetheart perfectly following his win celebrations at both Daytona and Charlotte last year. It brought McMurray to a new level that had everybody falling in love with him because of how sweet he was. You can also tell he is close with his family by comments he makes about his father, so therefore he fits the role perfectly.

Delana and Kevin Harvick As Sammi and Ronnie

Sammi and Ronnie are the controversial couple that basically take up most of the headlines in Jersey Shore with their fights and Ron's actions.

Now, Delana and Kevin Harvick are not fighting nor that controversial; however they are the couple seen in the forefront of the headlines via comments from their fellow competitors and their situation. A lot of people love the combination of them together by how they act and how Kevin Harvick Inc. has come together. When they did NASCAR 360, people's love for them went up to another level after they saw how the Harvicks acted at home together.

Joey Logano As JWoww

JWoww is best known for how much she hates the combination of Sammi and Ronnie following how Ronnie cheated on Sammi last season. JWoww tried to help Sammi, yet Sammi stayed with Ronnie.

Joey Logano has the same dynamic (sort of) with Delana and Kevin Harvick, as he does not like Kevin after their on-track incidents. He then brought Delana into the hating realm when following the Pocono race, he said, "His wife wears the firesuit in the family and tells him what to do." Also, having Logano as JWoww plays perfectly with the rest of the ladies in the series, as the next two will fit in this perfectly.

Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch As Snooki and Deena

Snooki and Deena are best buds who also happen to dislike Sammi and Ronnie via some antics that have played out in the series.

You can swap the roles between them and figure which fits which better; however either way, both Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin fit these roles nicely. They both have had their issues with Kevin Harvick that have brought forth some interesting comments. They are also teammates and friends at Joe Gibbs Racing. They did have a scuffle following the All-Star race, though that fits as Deena and Snooki had a scuffle, yet figured out how to stay friends.

Lastly, three of the girls in the series (JWoww, Snooki and Deena) have formed an alliance of their own, separate from Sammi. With how the roles have been placed, it equals the alliance that you see written with Joe Gibbs Racing.
