Guinness Premiership: Who's Getting the Value for Their Money?
James HutchisonSep 10, 2008
An interesting new study done by a group of accountants has identified which Premiership clubs offer value for money to people that watch their games.
They have come up with some equations to give a score in points that takes into account the value of players on show (taken from a fantasy rugby game, so indisputable) with the amount they charge for match tickets.
The full table is below, with Wasps on top and Worcester at the bottom. In fact, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the table finished in this order!
| London Wasps | 42.3 |
| Bath | 36.0 |
| Harlequins | 35.2 |
| Gloucester | 33.3 |
| Leicester Tigers | 32.3 |
| Sale Sharks | 26.4 |
| London Irish | 23.7 |
| Saracens | 23.3 |
| Bristol | 19.6 |
| Newcastle | 17.1 |
| Northampton Saints | 15.2 |
| Worcester | 14.4 |
