Oakland's Faithful undeterred, despite first game

Ah yes, and like the flip of a switch, the haters attacked.

We told you the Raiders didn't have a chance!

We told you the team sucked.

We told you.....

It goes on. Some, doesn't bother repeating.

Now, here's where it turns from bizarre, to straight goofy.

First of all, one fan, was complaining about the Raiders, when his own team got beat by a 37 year old backup, because their star QB is a royal bust. Not to mention his own team's number one pick was relegated to 3rd string, and from the sounds of it, wouldn't start in a McDonalds, let alone in the NFL again.

Secondly, is when some fans will look at the Raiders, and then say, oh, they're going to be bad all season long. One game, is not an entire year. If it was, it would be a real boring year. There's 16 games to play, in 17 weeks. Some other teams out there, like the Rams, 49ers, Dolphins, and Bengals, all looked pretty ugly.

Some teams have different problems. Some, it's a lack of offense. Some, it's the lack of Defense. Some, just don't know what they're doing.

At least Oakland's defense did dew a few things right. Like no interceptions. No picks, means that Russell's passing was sharp....which in turn, gives us hope for better days.

The problems we have, are the same problems we had last year. How is that good? Well, for one, we know what we're having problems with...even Abraham Lincoln didn't get it right the first several years in public service, either.

And among it, the Raider Nation, is still behind it's team. For all the naysayers, we still love our team. Some parts we may dislike, like Hall's penalties for foolish actions....but only bandwagon fans would leave a team after one game.

So, for the Raider Nation, lets see what next sunday holds....Kansas City. And a chance at redemption.
