2010-11 NFL Playoffs Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings

Before you start to break down the rankings for the playoffs, you need to decide who you think will be in the Super Bowl. I’m predicting a Patriots-Saints Super Bowl. As I pave their path to the big game, I will know how many games I expect each playoff team to play in.

Here’s the breakdown.

New Orleans Saints (four games)
Philadelphia Eagles (three games)
New England Patriots (three games)
Indianapolis Colts (two games)
Baltimore Ravens (two games)
Pittsburgh Steelers (two games)
Chicago Bears (one game)
Kansas City Chiefs (one game)
Atlanta Falcons (one game)
New York Jets (one game)
Green Bay Packers (one game)
Seattle Seahawks (one game)

Here are my top running backs based on my above playoff projections.

1. BenJarvus Green-Ellis: Three games projected. Gets yards and touchdowns.

2. LeSean McCoy: Yardage machine.

3. Rashard Mendenhall: Could make a deeper run.

4. Ray Rice: Could make a deeper run.

5. Reggie Bush: Will he be a difference maker again? He will have to be with the injuries at RB for New Orleans.

6. Michael Turner: Could make a deeper run.

7. Jamaal Charles: One game likely, but it could be a big one.

8. Joseph Addai: Will his experience pay off?

9. Julius Jones: A factor by default.

10. Matt Forte: Could make a deeper run.

11. Shonn Greene: Will sharing hurt his numbers?

12. LaDainian Tomlinson: Will age catch up with him?

13. Marshawn Lynch: One and done most likely.

14. Danny Woodhead: How many touches will he get?

15. Dominic Rhodes: Will the 1-2 punch of Addai and Rhodes lead the Colts back to the Super Bowl?
